Like the tower-builder in the Gospel, we have weighed both the monetary and emotional cost. We have pondered and planned our lives in the direction to which we believe God has called us. Dear Friends! A week ago we celebrated our parish Carnival. I thank everyone who in any way prepared, assisted or supported this celebration. Through the intercession of Saint Albert the Great let Jesus be glorified for the wonderful weather and for his abundant blessings. After giving thanks to our Lord I would like to express my gratitude to you dear, beloved parishioners. A big thank you goes to the Carnival Committee, all donors, sponsors, those who served us food and drink, all volunteers and participants. Thank you for your kindness, hospitality, smiles, and fervent prayers. The carnival is the biggest fundraiser for St. Albert School and every year we hope it should bring bigger profits. After observing various aspects of its operations I concluded that organization and related expense management must be changed. In September I will meet with the Carnival Committee and introduce changes that will serve the good of our parish. Soon you will be informed about the profits and already today, I invite all of you to the next 2017 Carnival! Renovation of the church roof is moving along and work should be completed this month. Please pray for good weather and safety for the workers. During the first week of work a big dump truck left deep tracks in the lawn. As soon as work is completed we will put in new grass. Thank you to all for spiritual and material support for this important project! Tomorrow in the United States and Canada we will celebrate "Labor Day"! Let us thank God for the gift of work; respect it, work conscientiously, and through the intercession of St. Joseph, patron Saint of working people pray for the unemployed, that they may find appropriate, well-paid jobs. Saint Joseph, pray for us! Finally, with great joy I want to let you know, that our Lenten Fish Fry will be back in 2017. Page 5 Drodzy Przyjaciele! Z biurka Ks. Proboszcza Tydzień temu przeżywaliśmy nasz parafialny karnawał. Z głębi serca chcę podziękować wszystkim, którzy w jakikolwiek sposób przygotowali, pomagali lub wsparli nasze parafialne świętowanie. Przez wstawiennictwo naszego patrona Świętego Alberta Wielkiego niech będzie Jezus uwielbiony za wspaniałą i słoneczą pogodę oraz za Jego obfite błogosławieństwo i opiekę. Po Panu Bogu moją wdzięczność kieruję do naszych drogich i kochanych parafian. A zatem, dziękuję komitetowi karnawału, wszystkim donatorom, wszystkim tym, którzy nas nakarmili i napoili w czasie tych dni, dziękuję wszystkim woluntariuszom i wszystkim uczestnikom tych wspaniałych dni. Dziękuję za waszą życzliwość, gościnnosć, uśmiech, dobre słowo i oczywiście dziękuje za wasze gorliwe modlitwy w intencji karnawału. Każdego roku nasz karnawał parafialny powinien przynosić jeszcze większe korzyści. Będąc na karnawale i obserwując go, na pewno w przyszłości pewne sprawy organizacyjne i pewne sprawy związane z wydatkami-kosztami muszą ulec zmianie. We wrześniu spotkam się z Komitetem Karnawału i wspólnie razem przedyskutujemy i wprowadzimy pewne zmiany, które służyć będą dobru naszej parafii. W niedalekiej przyszłości poinformuję was o zyskach z karnawału i oczywiście już dziś zapraszam wszystkich na nasz karnawał w następnym roku! Jak widzimy remont dachu na kościele przebiega dość sprawnie. Wszystkie sprawy remontowe powinny się zakończyć w miesiącu wrześniu. Proszę, módlcie się o dobra pogodę i bezpieczeństwo dla robotników w czasie ich pracy. W czasie trwania remontu dachu zniszczeniu uległ nasz trawnik za kościołem. Gdy tylko remont dachu się zakończy na pewno zostanie położony nowy i świeży trawnik. Raz jeszcze składam staropolskie Bóg zapłać za wasze duchowe i materialne wsparcie tego projektu! Jutro w Stanach Zjednoczonych Ameryki Północnej i w Kanadzie przeżywać będziemy Labor Day! Dziękujmy Panu Bogu za dar pracy, szanujmy ją, wykonujmy ją sumiennie i za wstawiennictwem Świętego Józefa, który jest patronem ludzi pracy módlmy się za bezrobotnych, aby znaleźli dla siebie odpowiednią i dobrze płatną pracę. Święty Józefie módl się za nami! I na koniec z wielką radością chcę was poinformować, że nasze obiady rybne w czasie Wielkiego Postu wracają po przerwie do sali pod kościołem. Dziękuję za możliwość rozmowy z Joe, Tom i Marty oraz za ich chęć powrotu i współpracy na rzecz obiadów rybnych w naszej parafii. Jezu, ufam Tobie! Fr. Mariusz.
