Dear Friends! From the Pastor s Desk November is already here. This is a month, which in the tradition of the Catholic Church is dedicated to the prayer for the deceased. From the bottom of my heart I thank you for your presence at the Masses, your prayers and the offerings you made on the feasts of all Saints Day and All Souls Day. As we pray for your deceased loved ones, whose names you wrote and submitted on the remembrance envelopes, I encourage you to attend Daily Masses in our church throughout the entire month of November. All your envelopes are now on the altar. Please stay and pray with us during this important, very special time of love and remembrance. Also, please continue to teach your children about the importance of honoring, remembering and praying for the deceased. Let the next generations know that sometime in the future we all will need these prayers. Almighty God and Father, it is our certain faith that your Son, who died on the cross, was raised from the dead, the first fruits of all who have fallen asleep. Grant that through this mystery your servants who has gone to their rest in Christ, may share in the joy of his resurrection. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen. Lastly, I have a wonderful news for our children; next week (between the school and the rectory building) we will begin an installation of a parish playground! But central to it, beyond the horrible deaths inflicted upon the brothers and their mother, is their belief in the promise of resurrection and life everlasting in God. Paul asks the Thessalonians to pray for him as he spreads Christ s message of love, so that he might be delivered from other nonbelievers anxious to do him harm. The apostle is confident in such prayer, just as he is confident in the everlasting support of Jesus and God the Father. And there s that everlasting word again. The Sadducees, not buying the idea, ask Jesus an interesting albeit meaningless question about the status of married life at the Resurrection. He tells the non-believers that marriage isn t an issue for the risen children of God. More importantly, he assures them that their ancestors do live on in God, even as evidenced by the Father s words to Moses. Copyright J. S. Paluch Co. Our favorite Cream Pie Sale! Z biurka Ks. Jednocześnie wciąż was zachęcam do licznego udziału w modlitwach wypominkowych w naszym kościele. Te nabożeństwa odprawiamy w poniedziałki, środy i piątki o godz. 7:00 rano.
