From the Pastor s Desk My Dearly Beloved, We are still continuing with the Archdiocese of Chicago Annual Catholic Appeal 2018. Most of you already returned completed pledge forms received from the Archdiocese in the mail. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your financial support and the gift of constant prayers with the intention of the Annual Catholic Appeal. Jesus calls every one of us to take responsibility for His Church and our beloved parish! You may have noticed that the renovation work in our church continues. We had removed the old, damaged carpet in the main aisle of the church, and in its place workers have installed ceramic tiles. One of the center tiles has the "logo" our parish. I would like to thank Mr. Joseph Rapciak, owner of the "Granit Solution 1 Company, Mr. Wojciech Rus for taking on this project as well as Mr. Chris Gronka and Mr. Slawomir Faber who removed mold from the choir loft ceiling and painted the entire choir loft. In addition, this past Tuesday Mr. Jacek Kozlowski, Mr. Lukasz Topor, Mr. Wojciech Chramiec and Fr. Leslaw installed next to the cross two bas-relief sculptures of our Lady of Sorrows and St. John the Evangelist. Mr. Lukasz Topor repaired all cracked stairs in the church and Rogers Hall. May "God bless" them for all this work done just in one last week s time. A very special thank you goes to the Holy Name Society" members for the preparation of some very tasty fish, shrimp and pasta meals during all the Fridays of Lent. Please make sure to take the opportunity and stop by in Rogers Hall every Friday of Lent for a delicious dinner! I invite all of you all to take part in the Stations of the Cross every Friday of Lent. Please remember about the works of mercy. We have a special donation box in the church for your almsgiving. Finally, I invite all of you to participate in the Outdoor Stations of the Cross through the streets of Burbank on March 10th at 7:00 pm. Please bring with you our parish group banners, candles, lanterns, and torches! Next Saturday, February 24th we will a Mass for a special needs children from our SPRED program. This Mass will be celebrated at 5:00 pm in English. Mass in Polish for children with special needs is scheduled for 1:30 pm on Sunday, March 11th. We invite you to participate in these Holy Masses along with our special children, their parents, siblings, and caregivers. Let the time of Lent be a time of getting closer to Jesus suffering on the cross. May this time be also a time of increased prayer, penance, and charity. Jesus I Trust in You! Fr. God s faithfulness and goodness serve as examples to us of how to live. Genesis tells the story of Noah and of God s covenant not only with all people, but with all of nature. Never will the cleansing waters of the flood bring their destructive power to all the earth again. The sign, the reminder to both God and nature, is the rainbow in the heavens. The psalm reminds us of this compassion of God, and begs God to remember us, not because of our goodness, but because of God s goodness and fidelity to the promise. God shows us how to be good, not by decree, but by example.

Z biurka Ks. Proboszcza Moi Drodzy, Wciąż jesteśmy w trakcie trwania Dorocznej Kwesty Katolickiej 2018. Większość z was otrzymała automatycznie swoje zobowiązania finansowe bezpośrednio z Diecezji. Z pewnością także większość z was te zobowiązania finansowe odesłała już do naszej Diecezji Chicago. Z głębi serca chcę wam podziękować za wasze modlitewne i materialne wsparcie na rzecz Dorocznej Kwesty Katolickiej. Ufam, że podobnie jak w zeszłym roku tak samo i tym roku nie tylko osiągniemy wyznaczonay nam przez Diecezję cel, ale go też z waszą materialną pomocą przekroczymy! Każdy z nas jest powołany przez Jezusa do odpowiedzialności za naz Kościół i naszą umiłowaną parafię! Kontynuujemy prace remontowe wewnątrz naszego kościoła. W głównej nawie naszej świątyni został usunięty stary, zniszczony i śmierdzący karpet. W to miejsce są instalowane płytki ceramiczne z logo naszej parafii. Przy tej okazji dziękuję firmie Granit Solution 1 z Mr. Józef Rapciak i Mr. Wojciech Rus na czele za podjęcie się tych prac remontowych. Także w ostatnim tygodniu na chórze został usunięty grzyb-wilgoć na suficie oraz cały chór został odświerzony i odmalowany. Dziękuję Mr. Chris Gronka i Mr. Sławomir Faber za wykonanie tej pracy w kościele. Również w ostatnich dniach zostały uzupełnione ubytki i pęknięcia na wszystkich schodach w kościele i do sali pod kościołem. Tę pracę wykonał Mr. Łukasz Topór. Ponadto we we wtorek wokół krzyża w kościele zostały zainstalowane nowe płaskorzeźby Matki Bożej Bolesnej i św. Jana Ewangelisty. Dziękuję Mr. Jacek Kozłowski, Mr. Łukasz Topór, Mr. Wojciech Chramiec i Ks. Lesław za ich pracę z tym związaną. Bóg zapłać wam wszystkim za wszelkie prace wykonane tylko w tym ostatnim tygodniu dla dobra naszego kościoła. Dziękuję też Holy Name Society za przygotowanie bardzo smacznych i obfitych obiadów rybnych we wszystkie piątki Wielkiego Postu. Zapraszam was wszystkich do licznego udziału w nabożeństwach pasyjnych w okresie Wielkiego Postu. W biuletynie parafialnym znajdziemy dokładny rozkład tych nabożeństw. Pamiętajmy także o możliwości składania do specjalnej skrzynki umieszczonej w prezbiterium dowolnych ofiar w ramach tzw. jałmużny wielkopostnej. I na koniec zapraszam wszystkich do udziału w drugiej Drodze Krzyżowej ulicami Burbank dnia 10 marca bieżącego roku. Szczegóły dotyczące Drogi Krzyżowej będą podawane na bieżąco w czasie niedzielnych ogłoszeń parafialnych.
