Fifth Sunday of Lent Page Three SPIRITUAL REFLECTION Jubilee of Mercy March 3 Fifth Sunday of Lent How fitting that the first Sunday Angelus of Pope Francis, who has made mercy his papacy s theme, took place the last time today s Gospel about Jesus encounter with the adulterous woman was proclaimed. Jesus attitude is striking, Francis declared. We do not hear words of scorn or condemnation, only words of love, of mercy, an invitation to conversion: Neither do I condemn you (John 8:11). Francis continued: God s face is the face of a merciful father who is always patient. Have you thought about God s patience, the patience [God] has with each one of us? That is [God s] mercy. [God] always has patience, patience with us... understands us... waits for us... does not tire of forgiving us if we return with a contrite heart (Pope Francis, Angelus address, March 17, 2013). Parishes preparing catechumens may proclaim Jesus raising of Lazarus. Referring to Lazarus, and all those raised from the death of sin, Jesus defines the community s mission of mercy Untie him and let him go (John 11:44). Peter Scagnelli, Copyright J. S. Paluch Co., Inc. V NIEDZIELA WIELKIEGO POSTU BĄDŻMY ŁAGODNI I MIŁOSIERNI W kolejną już niedzielę Wielkiego Postu słyszymy Ewangelię nadziei i pociechy. (J. 8,4-5). Chrystus Pan znajduje wyjście i odpowiedż. Siebie sądzić i kamienować własne grzechy! - ks. Idzi Stacherczak -

Fifth Sunday of Lent The St. Priscilla CWC met on March 1st to discuss upcoming events like the Spring Luncheon on April 27th! Here are some photos from this last meeting. We thank our ladies for all of their hard work and deciation to our parish! A big thanks to Richard, who is responsible for all Maintenance here at St. Priscilla, and his son, Przemek, for working hard to prepare our Sanctuary for Palm Sunday and Easter! They began by cleaning the marble floors surrounding the altar and then sealing the floors to protect them. Just as we are preparing the Church for Christ s Resurrection, we can spiritually prepare ourselves for His coming, by attending the English & Polish Missions, as well as Confession, to become a Resurrected people. God bless you all! Page Five
