Thank you! WORD OF LIFE MARCH 2014 There is an urgent need to recover a correct perspective on life as a whole. The correct perspective is that of eternity, for which life at every phase is a meaningful preparation. Old age too has a proper role to play in this process of gradual maturing along the path to eternity. And this process of maturing cannot but benefit the larger society of which the elderly person is a part. Blesses John Paul II, Letter to the Elderly, 1999 SATURDAY (15) Lenten Weekday 8:00 +Richard Pacyna (Pacyna Family) 8:30 O Boże bł. dla Jadwigi 4:00 +Edward DuPlantis (Lorraine) +Bernice Hujar (Hujar Family) +Irene Czekaj Birthday Remembrance (Daughter) February 23, 2014 Currency $ 3,547.00 Checks $ 2,534.00 Loose Coin $ 8.83 Total $ 6,089.83 Weekly Goal $ 7,500.00 Budget Year to Date $255,000.00 Collections Year to Date $216,293.14 Under Budget $<38,706.86> Thank you for your generosity and support of our Parish.

Dear Parents, Religious Education News During the Season of Lent, we bring to mind Jesus 40 days in the desert, where he was tempted by the devil. As a family, you might want to read the account of Jesus temptation in the desert from a children s Bible. Although some Lenten practices are personal, there are many things you can do as a family. You can set up a small Lenten prayer table in your home and gather there for a family blessing each day. You, too, can have a family desert experience. For example, you might designate one night as a silent night. Another night you might set aside as a no-snack night. You might want to plan a very simple and basic family meal, pray for those who will not have enough to eat that day, and then eat in silence. Let me know if I can help you with other Lenten desert ideas for your family. Sincerely, Mrs. Judy Banasiak Coordinator of Religious Education
