The Pontifical College and the Pontifical Institute in Rome, as well as the Polish Seminary in Paris, provide advanced education of the clergy so they may be trained to move into leadership roles in dioceses and seminaries in Poland. These centers of learning rely on the annual subsidy of over $300,000 from the Catholic League. Without the assistance of the Catholic League, it would be nearly impossible to maintain these institutions. The Catholic League for Religious Assistance to Poland also responds to requests for assistance from diocesan bishops seeking help for hospitals, orphanages and parishes in Poland. Through the assistance of your parish s special collection or your individual contributions, the Church in Poland can continue its strong practice of the Catholic faith. 4 Page Four August 7, 2011 CAN YOU HELP?! CATECHISTS NEEDED! Although we are in the middle of summer and the thought of starting a new Religious Education school year may seem a bit premature, it is never too soon to begin planning for our wonderful students who are in need of individuals who are willing to share their faith. We are looking for individuals who love their faith and want to make a difference in a child s faith formation. I believe we have people in our parish who are willing to bring the Word of God to children who cannot attend a Catholic School. Won t you please help us by volunteering as a catechist so that we can continue to accept all the children who come to us? For those of you who are a little apprehensive about teaching, be advised that the Archdiocese of Chicago offers classes for new catechists to help prepare you to teach. You will also have a great support system provided by the present teachers. 5 Nineteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time View from the rectory porch Page Five View of the rectory porch from the church More Improvements to our Parish A sincere and heartfelt thank you goes out to our parishioner, Mr. Casey Czochara, who completed the rectory balcony by adding the metal rail (pictures above) that had been destroyed many years ago by inclement weather. In addition to creating and installing this metal railing, Mr. Czochara also sponsored the purchase of the wooden storage unit for our sound system equipment. We may have noticed that, after having replaced our sound system, the new components were housed on top of the organ. This issue has now been resolved with the purchase of the storage cabinet, pictured to the right. The maker of this beautiful cabinet is Mr. Andrzej Stanek. His craftsmanship is amazing! Thank you Mr. Czochara and Mr. Stanek, again, very much! May God bless you and your families! 6 Page Six August 7, 2011 Religious Education News Edukacja Religijna Wiadomości Registration Information The rectory office is prepared to take registration for Religious Educations classes. The office has all the necessary forms that need to be filled out. A baptismal certificate is needed for anyone new to our program. The tuition for Religious Education is as follows: 1 child $ children $ children $ There is also a $30.00 registration fee that is required for each child. Ideally, we would like to have the tuition paid in full, but realistically, I know this cannot always be done by most families. I am asking that the registration fee be paid at the time of registration. The balance of the tuition can be spread out in monthly payments. If you cannot register at the rectory, we will be having registration after the 4:00 P.M. Mass on Saturday, August 27th and September 10th and after all the Masses on Sunday, August 28th, and September 11th. Religious Education classes are held on Saturdays, from 9:00 until 10:45 A.M. Classes will start on September 17, Informacje Rejestracyjne Nasze biuro parafialne jest przygotowane do przyjęcia rejestracji na nasz program Edukacji Religijnej w każdej chwili. W biurze można znaleźć wszystkie formy, które należy wypełnić. Dla nowych uczniów tego programu potrzebne jest zaświadczenie o chrztu św. Opłaty za program: 1 dziecko -- $ dzieci -- $ dzieci -- $ Jest dodatkowa opłata za rejestracje, która wynosi sumę $30 od dziecka. Chcielibyśmy, ażeby opłaty za program i za rejestracje były zapłacone w całości, ale wiemy, że to nie jest możliwe dla wszystkich. A więc, prosimy, aby zapłacić opłatę rejestracyjną przy rejestracji, a opłata za program może być płacona w ratach miesięcznych.
