Page Two November 16, 2008 November 2008 Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ: For over thirty-eight years, the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) has been a living example of our Church s social teaching. This year, CCHD is funding twenty-one organizations that work to address the root causes of poverty with seniors, youth, immigrants, people with disabilities and low-wage workers in Cook and Lake counties. Please make a special effort during this Thanksgiving season to give generously to the CCHD s Collection this weekend. Your contribution will enable the poor to achieve greater dignity and to build God s kingdom of justice and peace. One hundred percent of the CCHD budget comes from individual donations of any size just like yours. Your contribution does make a powerful difference. May God bless you for your support of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development. You and those you love are in my prayers; please keep me in yours. W roku obecnym CCHD finansuje działalność 21 organizacji pracujących na rzecz zwalczania przyczyn ubóstwa wraz z osobami starszymi, młodzieżą, imigrantami, osobami niepełnosprawnymi i niskoopłacanymi pracownikami powiatów Cook i Lake. Proszę Was gorąco o szczodrość w czasie nadchodzącego okresu Dziękczynienia. Wejdź do radości Pana swego. Talenty w przypowieści to symbole czegoś ważniejszego niż szlachetny kruszec, bo to przypomnienie faktu, że Bóg powierza każdemu z nas wielkie dobra. Życie każdego z nas to pierwszy dar Stwórcy. W sakramencie Chrztu świętego, to życie wieczne jest nam przekazywane a następnie Bóg poprzez Swoją Łaskę pomaga nam w rozwijaniu tegoż życia. Pan Bóg daje ludziom zdolności po to, by ludzie nimi zdobywali świat, i czynili sobie i innym życie łatwiejszym i bardziej szczęśliwym. -ks.
