3 Thoughts from the Pastor.. In this season of Lent, we prepare for the feast of Easter by trying to purify our body and spirit, in order to abundantly receive the fruits of the Redemption of the Lord. Each week, Jesus, in his Gospel, invites all men and women to repentance and conversion of heart. The further on in time we get, the more we feel the rigor of judgment. For Easter is, of course, the feast of the Resurrection of the Lord, but it is above all the feast of our own resurrection in Christ! Our resurrection in the Lord is near! Soon, the Mother of us all, the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, will lead us into the presence of her Divine Son, in order that we might share in his Glory! But Resurrection and Glory is arrived at through trial and suffering willingly accepted in love: may Mary obtain for us the grace of a charity that will withstand any trial! Fr. Tony Bogu zależy na nas, na naszym życiu. I dlatego Bóg ciągle czeka, daje nam szanse poprawy, nie zraża się naszym lekceważeniem i niewiarą. Ale Bożej cierpliwości nie wolno nadużywać i wystawiać na próbę. Właśnie przed tym przestrzega nas Chrystus w dzisiejszej Ewangelii: Jeśli się nie nawrócicie, wszyscy tak samo zginiecie. Bożym celem jest nasze nawrócenie, a nie zagłada! Ale zagłada, i to zagłada ostateczna, jest nieodwołalną konsekwencją braku nawrócenia. Żeby tego uniknąć, trzeba w porę dokonać właściwego wyboru, tzn. wyboru za Bogiem. Jest to decyzja, od której Bóg uzależnia wszystko. Przypowieść o ogrodniku i drzewie figowym pokazuje, że Chrystus nie czeka na tę decyzję biernie, że tak zależy Mu na nas, iż osobiście angażuje się w sprawę naszego nawrócenia. Jest gotów wspomóc nas na różne sposoby, aby nam ułatwić decyzję wiary. Ks. Semana tras semana, en su evangelio, Jesús invita a todos los hombres y mujeres a la penitencia y a la conversión del corazón. Cuanto más avanzamos en el tiempo, más se hace sentir el rigor del juicio. Emil MAN'S RESPONSE TO GOD By his Revelation "the invisible God, from the fullness of his love, addresses men as his friends, and moves among them in order to invite and receive them into his own company. The adequate response to this invitation is faith. By faith man completely submits his intellect and his will to God. With his whole being man gives his assent to God the revealer. Sacred Scripture calls this human response to God, the author of revelation, "the obedience of faith". Fr. Adekwatną odpowiedzią na to zaproszenie jest wiara. Przez wiarę człowiek poddaje Bogu całkowicie swój rozum i swoją wolę. Całą swoją istotę człowiek wyraża przyzwolenie Bogu Objawicielowi. Pismo święte nazywa odpowiedż człowieka objawiającemu się Bogu "posłuszeństwem wiary". Ks.
