3 Thoughts from the Pastor... Today Jesus - the Good Shepherd - speaks about entrance ways: gates, doors. Jesus tells that it matters how we enter. Come in through the door. Then he takes the image a step further: He himself is the door. "Whoever enters through me," he says, "will be saved." This saying brings to mind the words Blessed John Paul spoke when he began his amazing pontificate. Addressing the throng in St. Peter's Square and beyond them, a waiting world, he said: "Do not be afraid. Open wide the doors to Christ." Today's readings invite us to open the door of our heart to Jesus - and to recognize him as the gateway to salvation. St. Peter - who was the first pope - made a similar invitation. He told the people that even though they had crucified by their sins, He now lives. When the people heard it, they "cut to the heart." They asked Peter what they should do. Two things, Peter tells them: Repent and be baptized. Turn away from sin and receive the sacraments, beginning with baptism. Fr. Tony Kto nas poprowadzi? Musi się znaleźć ktoś, czyjego głosu owce posłuchają. Ktoś, kto będzie znał je po imieniu. Ktoś, kto stanie na ich czele i wyprowadzi w miejsca bezpieczne. Tak mówił Jezus, wskazując na siebie. I dobrym pasterzem siebie nazwał, i bramą owiec. Nie ma Go jednak wśród nas. Nie ma? A obietnica: A oto Ja jestem z wami przez wszystkie dni, aż do skończenia świata (Mt 28,20)? Traktujemy tę obietnicę poważnie. On jest z nami. Ale człowiek potrzebuje obecności kogoś realnego w wymiarze czasu i przestrzeni. I to jest nasz problem. Nasz ludzi każdej epoki. Potrzebujemy wodzów i przewodników. Ileż razy w historii świata sprawdzały się przestrogi Jezusa przed tymi, co to złodziejami są i rozbójnikami. Miniony wiek był tragiczny świat poszedł za oszustami, którzy zdołali omamić całe narody. Jak się więc ratować z tego przewrotnego pokolenia? Za kim pójść, by mieć życie i mieć je w obfitości? By nie błądzić jak owce, lecz nawrócić się do Pasterza i Stróża dusz naszych? Ks. Antoni Hoy Jesus - el Buen Pastor - habla de puertas. Al pedir su apoyo, quisiera hacerlo en en el contexto de nuestras lecturas. En el Evangelio Jesus habla de puertas. Entrar por puerta o saltar por otro lado son dos cosas diferentes. Jesus nos dice que importa como entramos. Entrar por puerta. Y lleva el imagen un paso mas: El mismo es la puerta. "Yo soy la puerta; quien entra por mi se salvara." Este dicho nos hace recordar las palabras que el Beato Juan Pablo hablo cuando comenzo su ponticado extraordinario. "No tengan miedo a abrir de puerta en puerta, de par en par, las puertas a Cristo." Hoy las lecturas nos invita abrir la puerta de nuestro corazon a Jesus - y reconocerlo como la puerta de salvacion. San Pedro - que era el primer papa - hizo una invitacion similar. Les dijo que a pesar de haber crucificado a Jesus, ahora vive. Estas palabras "les llegaron al corazon." Le preguntaron a Pedro que tenian que hacer. Dos cosas, dijo Pedro: Arrepentirse y ser bautizado. Cambiar la vida y recibir los sacramentos. Padre Antonio

4 Reflections from Fr. Emil PENTECOST On the day of Pentecost when the seven weeks of Easter had come to an end, Christ's Passover is fulfilled in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, manifested, given, and communicated as a divine person of his fullness, Christ, the Lord, pours out the Spirit in abundance. On the day, the Holy Trinity is fully revealed. Since that day, the Kingdom announced by Christ has been open to those who believe in him; in the humility of the flesh and in faith, they already share in the communion of the Holy Trinity. By his coming, which never ceases, the Holy Spirit causes the world to enter into the last day, the time of the Church, the Kingdom already inherited though not yet consummated. We have seen the true Light, we have received the heavenly Spirit, we have found the true faith; we adore the indivisible Trinity, who has saved us. Fr. Emil PIĘĆDZIESIĄTNICA W dzieo Pięćdziesiątnicy po upływie siedmiu tygodni paschalnych, Pascha Chrystusa wypełnia się przez wylanie Ducha Świętego, który zostaje objawiony, dany i udzielony jako Osoba Boska Chrystusa, Pan ze swej Pełni wylewa obficie Ducha. W tym dniu zostaje w pełni objawiona Trójca Święta. Od tego dnia zapowiedziane przez Chrystusa Królestwo zostaje otwarte dla tych, którzy w Niego wierzą; w pokorze ciała i w wierze uczestniczą oni już w komunii Trójcy Świętej. Przez swoje przyjście, które ciągle trwa, Duch Świety pozwala światu wejść w czasy ostateczne, w czas Kościoła, Królestwo już odziedziczone, ale jeszcze nie spełnione. Widzieliśmy prawdziwe Światło, otrzymaliśmy Ducha niebieskiego, znależliśmy prawdziwą wiarę; wielbimy niepodzielną Trójcę, ponieważ nas zbawia. Ks. Emil PENTECOSTES El dia de Pentecostes al termino de las siete semanas pascuales, la Pascua de Cristo se consuma con la efusion del Espiritu Santo que se manifiesta, da y comunica como Persona divina; desde su plenitud, Cristo, el Seńor, derrama profusamente el Espiritu. En este dia se revela plenamente la Santissima Trinidad. Desde ese dia el Reino anunciado por Cristo esta abierto a todos los que creen en El en la humildad de la carne y en la fe, participan ya en la Comunion de la Santisima Trinidad. Con su venida, que no cesa, el Espiritu Santo hace entrar al mundo en los ultimos tiempos, el tiemponde la Iglesia, el Reino ya heredado, pero todavia no consumado. Hemos visto la verdadera Luz, hemos recibido el Espiritu celestial, hemos encontrado la verdadera fe; adoramos la Trinidad indivisible porque ella nos ha salvado. 5 SCHOOL NEWS Father Toni and Father Emil welcomed the children of St. Bruno School and Religious Education to receive their First Holy Communion on May 7th. The church was filled with family and friends who witnessed the children receiving the Body and Blood of Christ for the first time. The children participated in every aspect of the mass and did a wonderful job singing a song about what the Eucharist means to them. St. Bruno's 5th grade choir also sang beautifully making the celebration even more special. Sheila Linane 3 rd Grade Teacher Ks. Antoni i Ks. Emil, witali Dzieci pierwszokomunijne, które uczestniczyły w religii przygotowując się do I Komunii św.którą przyjęły 7 Maja. Nasz Kościół był napełniony Rodzinami i Przyjaciółmi, którzy byli świadkami przyjęcia pierwszy raz Ciała i Krwi Paoskiej. Dzieci uczestniczyły we wszystkich aspektach Mszy św. śpiewając pieśni i modląc się wspólnie. To było piękne dzieło, a przez to Dzieci udowodniły jak wielkim skarbem jest Eucharystia. Chór dziecięcy św. Brunona z klasy piątej śpiewał czyniąc z tej ceremoni coś wspaniałego. Sheila Linane Nauczycielka z 3 klasy Padre Toni y Padre Emil dieron la bienvenida a a los niños de San Bruno y la Escuela de Educación Religiosa para recibir su Primera Comunión el 7 de Mayo. La iglesia estaba llena de familia y amigos quienes fueron testigos de los niños que recibieron el Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo por primera vez. Los niños participaron en cada aspecto de la misa e hicieron un trabajo maravilloso cantando una canción sobre lo que la Eucaristía significaba para ellos. El coro del quinto grado de San Bruno, también canto muy bien lo que hizo la celebración aún más especial.
