During the Easter Vigil, the newly baptized are invested with a white garment, a sign that they have put on Christ. At one time, the garments were worn for a full week of celebration and reflection, and on this Sunday the newly baptized would appear in their robes again in their new place among the faithful for Eucharist. In later centuries, the energy of new life at Easter was largely forgotten, and this Sunday was renamed Quasimodo Sunday, or Low Sunday. In recent years, with the recovery of the insight that Easter is the privileged time for celebrating and renewing baptism, there is nothing Low about this Sunday. At a week s distance, the beauty and grace of our Easter celebration is sustained by joyful alleluias, the blessing and sprinkling of holy water, and the comfort of the Lord s presence to us. Z tej racji o godz. 3 po południu będzie odprawiona specjalna, dodatkowa Msza święta oraz Nabożeństwo wraz z koronką do Miłosierdzia Bożego. Wszystkich serdecznie zapraszamy do udziału i przeżycia tego wyjątkowego święta. W każdą niedzielę maja w naszym kościele, po Mszy świętej o godz. 10:30 AM będą odprawiane Maryjne Nabożeństwa z wystawieniem Najświętszego Sakramentu i śpiewaną litanią do Matki Bożej. W dni powszednie litania do Matki Bożej będzie śpiewana po porannej Mszy o godz. 8:30. Serdecznie zapraszamy. Learn more at Polish May Devotions will be held in our Church on each of the Sundays in May, after the 10:30 AM Holy Mass. The Novena for our Living and Deceased Mothers will start on Sunday, May 12th at the 10:30 AM Holy Mass. It will continue Monday thru Saturday at the 8:30 AM Holy Mass. The last day of the Mothers' Novena will be Monday, May 20th. Our ushers will distribute the novena envelopes after all Masses today. Please take an envelope, print clearly in capital letters the name of the person for whom you wish us to pray, and place that envelope in the collection basket or drop it off at the rectory or sacristy. The Mothers' Novena of Holy Masses will be offered for all intentions received. W niedzielę 12 maja rozpoczniemy Nowennę w Intencji Naszych Matek. Prosimy o zabranie od panów marszałków specjalnej kopertki na Dzień Matki. Prosimy o czytelne wypełnienie kopertki i jej zwrot razem z niedzielną kolektą, do zakrystii lub na plebanię. W wypisanych intencjach przez 9 kolejnych dni będą odprawiane Msze św. o godz. 8:30 rano, natomiast po Mszy św. będą prowadzone specjalne modlitwy Nowenny. Jako schorowana seniorka, Cochise korzysta z pomocy niezawodnego opiekuna domowego, który pomaga jej w codziennych zadaniach i załatwianiu spraw, aby mogła dalej żyć we własnym domu i cieszyć się wysoką jakością życia. Kiedy miała problem ze znalezieniem pomocy, która odpowiadałby jej potrzebom, sięgnęła po pomoc od Catholic Charities, które pracowały z nią, by znaleźć kogoś, z kim czuła się dobrze. Could Jesus have been thinking of us, who long to believe that Jesus is risen! but see so much suffering, and perhaps even cause some, that we wonder, how could something so wonderful be true? In today s reading from the Acts of the Apostles, the risen Jesus healing love comforts through disciples who love others.
