2 pastor`s letter /list ojca proboszcza Dear parishioners and guests, The Holy Week is approaching, a special time for us Christians. We will be accompanying Jesus in the most important period of his life on earth, in the moment of suffering which he voluntarily undertook for us, his death and resurrection. It is good to be with Jesus when he does miracles when everyone admires him and applauds him for his uniqueness. The apostles wanted to be with such Jesus, they even quarreled among themselves about who in his Kingdom would experience the greatest honors. But when the time of Jesus arrest came, they all left him, he was completely alone, condemned to the attacks of the angry crowd. Arrested in the garden, dragged before the Sanhedrin, humiliated and beaten, placed before Pilate, scourged, tortured and crucified between the two thieves. It was all for us, on behalf of all of us who have betrayed God and left God, Jesus said "Yes" to the Father. Let us accompany Jesus in this Holly Triduum. Let us look at Him with love and weep for our sins, because, as Saint Ignatius says, "because of our sins, the Lord goes to torment." On Holy Thursday, we will celebrate the institution of the Eucharist and Priesthood, on Good Friday we will listen to the description of Jesus sufferings. On Holy Saturday, we will meet on the most important liturgy during the year - the Liturgy of Light to celebrate the joy of the Resurrection with the whole Church. I wish you all a fruitful experience of the Holy Paschal Triduum. May these most important holidays in the year bring us even closer to our Lord and Savior, that we may know him more, love him more and imitate him faithfully. I entrust you to Merciful Jesus Fr. Będziemy towarzyszyć Panu Jezusowi w najważniejszym okresie jego życia na ziemi, w momencie cierpienia, które podjął dobrowolnie za nas, jego śmierci i zmartwychwstania. Dobrze jest być z Jezusem, kiedy czyni cuda, kiedy wszyscy go podziwiają i oklaskują za Jego wyjątkowość. Apostołowie z takim Jezusem chcieli być, nawet pokłócili się między sobą o to, kto w jego królestwie doświadczy największych zaszczytów. Kiedy jednak przyszedł moment aresztowania, wszyscy go opuścili, został zupełnie sam, skazany na ataki rozwścieczonego tłumu. Aresztowany w Ogrójcu, wleczony przed Sanhedryn, upokorzony i spoliczkowany, postawiony przed Piłatem, ubiczowany, umęczony dźwiganiem krzyża i ukrzyżowany między łotrami. To wszystko dla nas, by w imieniu nas wszystkich, którzy zdradziliśmy Boga i odeszli od Niego powiedzieć Ojcu Tak. Chciejmy towarzyszyć Jezusowi w Jego drodze krzyżowej. Patrzmy na Niego z miłością i opłakujmy nasze grzechy, bo jak mówi św. Ignacy, z powodu naszych grzechów, Pan idzie na mękę. W Wielki Czwartek będziemy świętować ustanowienie Eucharystii i kapłaństwa, w Wielki Piątek sprawować będziemy Liturgię Męki Pańskiej i wsłuchiwać się w opis Jego cierpienia, w Wielką Sobotę spotkamy się na najważniejszej w ciągu roku liturgii Liturgii Światła i wraz z całym Kościołem rozpoczniemy świętowanie radości Zmartwychwstania. Życzę wam wszystkim owocnego przeżycia Świętego Triduum Paschalnego. Niech te najważniejsze święta w roku przybliżą nas jeszcze bardziej do naszego Pana i Zbawiciela, abyśmy go jeszcze bardziej poznali, pokochali i naśladowali. Jezusowi Miłosiernemu was polecam o. 6 PALM SUNDAY OF THE PASSION OF THE LORD Today we prepare to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus. Isaiah reminds us of the suffering that Jesus will endure. He says Jesus will not be disgraced or put to shame, but we know that there will be humiliation at the hands of others. The psalm recalls the fear and sorrow as we repeat over and over Jesus' words of anguish and abandonment. Philippians describes Jesus' humility and the exaltation that will follow. But it is Mark who takes us through the last days of Jesus' life, the ordinary and the extraordinary. He describes the meal shared with the one who will betray him; his anguished prayers with friends who cannot stay awake and will later deny him; his treatment at the hands of priests, elders, soldiers; and finally his death and the recognition that truly Jesus is the Son of God. CONTRASTS Jesus' last days are an experience of contrasts. The man Isaiah describes is courageous in the face of buffets and beatings. Jesus will not be disgraced or put to shame. Everything the priests, elders, soldiers, and friends do is intended to disgrace and shame Jesus. But they fail. Jesus is not without anguish and sorrow. He knows what it feels like to be abandoned and he expresses that in the garden and on the Cross. Yet still Philippians insists that Jesus will be exalted even though humbled and obedient to the point of death. Mark takes Jesus and us back and forth between strength and fear, between courage and humiliation, between obedience and anguish. What are we to make of these contrasts? RECOGNITION Only a centurion, who with the women looking on from a distance sees Jesus breathe his last, knows what we are to make of this. We are to understand, even before the Resurrection, that "this man was the Son of God." How did the centurion know? The centurion knew because he stood facing Jesus, watching him, looking into his face as he died. Though everything was done to strip Jesus of his sense of self, never, ever did he give up his complete and total commitment to God his Father. Even in his anguish and abandonment, he cries out to God. We are left to imagine how his Father answered him, but whatever Jesus heard in his last moments, it left on his face and in his last breath so clear a sign of God's love that one of his crucifiers recognized who he was. The only thing left to Jesus when he died was the abiding certainty of his Father's love. That is a certainty that Jesus took with him to his grave and to his resurrection. Today's Readings: Is 50:4-7; Ps 22:8-9, 17-18, 19-20, 23-24; Phil 2:6-11; Mk 14: :47 [15:1-39] PASSION The contrast between the processional reading in today's liturgy and the proclamation of the Passion is striking. We are given a glimpse of how profoundly the word of God is fulfilled in Jesus. First he must be hailed as the Messiah, the One who is to come. He must be acknowledged by all, though they do not know what they are saying. They think he is the promised king, a worldly king of the Jews who will free them from the Roman occupation. They do not yet understand, even the disciples, exactly where this triumphal procession is leading. In our lives, we too do not know where we are going. It is in faith that we can follow Christ wherever he may lead us, trusting that death is not the end, nor evil the victor.

GOOD FRIDAY Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence. For members of the Latin Catholic Church, the norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59. When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal. The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding upon members of the Latin Catholic Church from age 14 onwards. Those that are excused from fast and abstinence outside the age limits include the physically or mentally ill including individuals suffering from chronic illnesses such as diabetes. Polega on na tym, że w te dwa dni roku można spożyć tylko jeden posiłek do syta. Ów post obowiązuje katolików którzy ukończyli 18 rok życia, aż do rozpoczęcia 60 roku życia. Post ścisły pozwala na jednorazowy posiłek do syta oraz na dwa skromne posiłki w ciągu dnia. Wierni, którzy nie mają możliwości wyboru pokarmów i muszą spożywać to, co zostanie im podane, mogą korzystać z dyspensy od obowiązku wstrzymania się od potraw mięsnych w piątki całego roku. Taka dyspensa nie istnieje w Środę Popielcową i Wielki Piątek.
