2 Pastor`s Letter / List Ojca Proboszcza Dear parishioners and guests, October 13, 1917, the last of the six Marian apparitions took place. Then Our Lady said to Lucia: "I want to tell you to build a chapel here in my honor. I am the Mother of the Rosary. Continue the rosary every day. The war will end and the soldiers will soon return to their homes. " Then there was the so-called miracle of the sun. In the eyes of 70,000 people, the sun began to spin and with great impetus, rapidly moved towards the terrified crowd. The people gathered there prayed intensely, and some of those who came only to ridicule and mock the Fatima revelations, experienced profound conversion. Last year we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Fatima revelations. Because so many people went in procession, also this year we would like to honor the Fatima apparitions solemnly. As a community which love the Mother of God, we would like to invite all of you to take part in this event. Together with the Jesuit Millennium Center and St. Ferdinand Parish, we invite you to our church on Saturday, October 13th at 7pm. We will begin with the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and then in the procession of light, we will go out into the streets praying to God through the intercession of Mary for the graces needed for us, our families and our parishes. It will be a bilingual celebration. We warmly welcome you to this event. Please come with your family, invite your friends. Let's take the part in this event. It will be a good opportunity to once again entrust to Mary our lives. We know how great the battle is in the world about man and his eternity. As cardinal August Hlond used to say: "Victory, if it comes, it will only be through Mary. Let us honor Mary, let us celebrate the Fatima revelations and give glory to the good God, who wants to save us through Mary and lead us to heaven. I hope to see you on Saturday! Wtedy to Matka Boża powiedziała do Łucji: Chcę ci powiedzieć, aby wybudowano tu kaplicę na moją część. Jestem Matką Boską Różańcową. Odmawiajcie w dalszym ciągu codziennie różaniec. Zgromadzeni tam ludzie modlili się intensywnie a niektórzy z tych, którzy przyszli tylko po to, by ośmieszyć i wykpić wydarzenia fatimskie doświadczyli głębokiej przemiany i nawrócenia. W ubiegłym roku obchodziliśmy 100 lecie objawień Fatimskich. Uczciliśmy to wydarzenie uroczystą procesją po ulicach miasta Chicago. Ponieważ, tak wiele osób wzięło udział w tej procesji, chcemy - jako wspólnota kochająca Matkę Bożą - także i w tym roku uroczyście uczcić objawienie fatimskie. Wspólnie z Jezuickim Ośrodkiem Milenijnym oraz parafią św. Ferdynanda zapraszamy na Wieczór Fatimski w najbliższą sobotę, 13 października o 7 wieczorem. Rozpoczniemy wieczorem uwielbienia i adoracją Najświętszego Sakramentu. Po adoracji, wyjdziemy na ulice miasta modląc się do Boga przez wstawiennictwo Maryi o potrzebne łaski dla nas, naszych rodzin i naszych parafii. Serdecznie was kochani na to wydarzenia zapraszam. Przyjdźcie z rodzinami, zaproście znajomych. Weźmy jak najliczniej udział w tym wydarzeniu. Będzie to dobra okazja, by po raz kolejny zawierzyć Maryi nasze życie. Wiemy jak wielka walka toczy się w świecie o człowieka i jego wieczność. Chciejmy za kardynałem Augustem Hlondem powiedzieć, zwycięstwo, jeśli przyjdzie, to tylko przez Niepokalaną. 5 HE EMBRACED THEM AND BLESSED THEM Today Jesus stresses how children embody the reign of God. They are trusting and loving and have hearts that are open to love. They are joyful when they are made aware of God's love for them, and are eager to return that love. This is the model Jesus holds out to us if we want to welcome the reign of God. We need to have open, loving hearts. We must drop our defenses, however we came by them, and welcome Christ's love for us with joy. This is impossible for us on our own. Only the grace of God will enable us to do this, but that grace is freely and generously given. We have only to accept it.
