Filled with Christ s presence, You brought joy to John the Baptist, making him exult in the womb of his mother. Brimming over with joy, you sang of the great things done by God. Standing at the foot of the cross with unyielding faith, you received the joyful comfort of the resurrection, and joined the disciples in awaiting the Spirit so that the evangelizing Church might be born. Obtain for us now a new ardour born of the resurrection, that we may bring to all the Gospel of life which triumphs over death. Give us a holy courage to seek new paths, that the gift of unfading beauty may reach every man and woman. Virgin of listening and contemplation, Mother of love, Bride of the eternal wedding feast, pray for the Church, whose pure icon you are, that she may never be closed in on herself or lose her passion for establishing God s kingdom. Star of the new evangelization, help us to bear radiant witness to communion, service, ardent and generous faith, justice and love of the poor, that the joy of the Gospel may reach to the ends of the earth, illuminating even the fringes of our world. Mother of the living Gospel, wellspring of happiness for God s little ones, pray for us. Amen. Alleluia! Pope Francis
The many faces of Christmas. Pictured above: two happy recipients of the giving tree gifts! Pictured above: Cookie Sale Shrine Shop staffers Donna and Jane along with a few Bartley elves. INFANTS AND TODDLERS OF SV God works miracles! He heard the cries of His hungry children and instilled in the hearts of two caring parishioners the compassion and love of those less fortunate. This enabled us to purchase $200 worth of food items which were delivered to the Holy Name Ozanam center just in time for Christmas! A blessed Christmas to you for your kindness! You remain anonymous to us, but will forever be remembered in the eyes of Our Father. Thank you! Parish seminarian, Rob Ramser, spending a few days with us to help over Christmas. TAKE A BEAR, HELP RESUCITATE A KING What are those cute little bears doing in the first pew by the manger? They are helping us raise some funds to restore one of our kings who met an untimely demise during his visit to the manger last year. The way it works is this: Take a bear and make a minimum donation of $5 to help us pay for the new king as well as replacements for our aging strings of lights etc to keep our church Christmas decorations fresh and safe for this and future Christmas celebrations. DON T FORGET YOUR GIFT CARDS...they help fund our parish ministries! And they make people HAPPY!

Amen. Alleluja! W Rzymie, u Świętego Piotra, na zakończenie Roku Wiary, dnia 24 listopada 2013 roku, w uroczystość Jezusa Chrystusa Króla Wszechświata, w pierwszym roku mego Pontyfikatu.
