Drodzy parafianie i przyjaciele Kościoła Św. Jadwigi. Dzisiaj świętujemy Niedzielę Palmową. Zanim będziemy się gromadzić na naszej świątyni w czasie Triduum Paschalnego, czyli w Wielki Czwartek, Wielki Piątek i w Wielką Sobotę oraz będziemy sprawować wielkanocną liturgię i śpiewać radosne Alleluja Jezusowi, chciałbym bardzo podziękować za wszystko co robimy dla naszego kościoła i wspólnoty parafialnej Świętej Jadwigi. Wszystko co uało się zrobić w tym roku do chwili obecnej i każdy zrealizowany projekt świadczą o waszej ogromnej trosce o nasz kościół i całe otoczenie. Dzięki waszej modlitwie, ofiarności i ogromnym zrozumieniu, możemy być dumny z każdej wykonanej pracy dla naszej wspólnoty i kościoła. Tylko w ostatnim okresie pracowaliśmy przy następujących projektach: 1. Zkup i instalacja ścian działowych w szkole Faith and Formation. 2. Zakup i instalacja żaluzji do okien również w naszej szkole. 3. Remont w kotłowni w Parish Hall. 4. Rozpoczęcie remontu w kotłowni na plebani. 5. Kontynuacja projektu związanego z przebudową balkonu chóru kościelnego. 6. Zainstalowanie nowego systemu dzwonów elektronicznych w kościele. 7. Zakup nowej tablicy informacyjnej na front kościoła. Instalacja jeszcze przed Świętami Wielkanocnymi. 8. Zakup i montaż tablicy informacyjnej w wejściu do kościoła. 9. Modernizacja parafialnej strony website. Przypominamy: www.sthedwig.church Wszystkie powyższe projekty zostały zrealizowane albo niewiele już zostało do ich zakończenia. Dlatego proszę wszystkich moich parafian i przyjaciół Kościoła Św. Jadwigi o pomoc finansową. Dzisiaj w Niedzielę Palmową i w najbliższe niedziele druga kolekta przeznaczona jest na zapłacenie ostatnich zobowiązań. Dla przykładu chcę podać, że projekt zakupu i zainstalowania poręczy ochronnych na balkonie chóru parafialnego wyniósł $2500 a drugi projekt tablicy informacyjnej przed kościołem to koszt $3500. Before we assemble in our temple during the Paschal Triduum, that is Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday and celebrate Easter liturgy to sing joyful Alleluia to Jesus, I would like to thank you very much for all that you do for our church and community. All that we did this year, up to the present time, and every realized project, testify about your huge generosity and love for our church and the entire environment. Thanks to your prayers, generosities and your huge understanding, we can be proud of every action and project in our community and our church. Only in the last months we worked at following projects: 1. Buying and installation of room dividers at our Faith and Formation school. 2. Purchase and the installation of the blinds for all windows, also in our school. 3. Renovation in the boiler room in Parish Hall. 4. Renovation in the boiler room in the Rectory. 5. The continuing of the project related to the reconstruction of the choir loft. 6. Buying and installation of the new system of electronic bells at church. 7. The purchase of the new information board in front of the church. The installation will be before Easter. 8. The purchase and the installation of the announcement board in the church s vestibule. 9. Therefore, may I ask all parishioners and friends of St. Hedwig s Church for their financial assistance. Today and the next Sundays the second collections will be intended for the payment of these last bills. For example, I would like to let you know that the cost of the project for the purchase and the installation of protective rails on the choir loft is $2500 and the cost of the second project of the name board, in front of the church, is $3500. Dear Parishioners, St. Hedwig"s Faith Formation Program The goal of participation in this program is to prepare oneself, as practicing Catholics, to receive the sacraments. Being Catholic is a lifelong endeavor and involves much more than receiving a select number of sacraments. It is a process that continues through one s life and ideally should reflect in one s daily life. Please come and join us Our class program is held on Thursday: Grades 1-5 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm Grades 6-8 from 6:15pm to 7:30pm PALM SUNDAY On Palm Sunday the liturgy offers a panoramic view of the mysteries that we will contemplate during Holy Week or Paschal Triduum: the institution of the Eucharist, the passion and death of the Lord, and the prediction of His Resurrection. The Feast of Ressurection of Our Lord is a day of great joy and happiness. It reminds us of the triumph of Our Saviour and assures us of the triumph of our Faith and our Church which He has given us. In this joyful spirit of Easter, it is my privilege to greet you and to pray that Our Risen Lord will bestow upon you those blessings that will bring peace to your soul that peace which Christ alone can give. Marcin Nabozny These rich Sunday readings include numerous phrases and expressions that have become part of the Sunday liturgy and other devotions. But, most of all, they reveal how each event of the Passion of Christ had been announced by the prophets in the Scriptures and by Christ himself, thus confirming that he was the One who was to come. The reading during the Procession with Palms offers a stark contrast to the readings at Mass. Upon arriving at Jerusalem, Jesus is received with cries of joy and praise by the crowd that had come to believe and to have faith in Him as a prophet from God: Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee! explain some to those who ask why the commotion. We can imagine the Twelve somehow confused and bewildered. The Master has been saying that his time of suffering is near, and is the reason for His coming to Jerusalem. However, for the moment, all is praise and welcome with cloaks and branches spread on his path where he rides a humble donkey. May the Lord allow us to accompany him serenely during these Easter mysteries and may we emerge from them renewed in faith, hope and clarity. Amen.
