Page Four March 26, 2017 Fr. Matt s Message Pope Benedict XVI pointed out that we were born "blind" because of Adam's sin, but at the Baptismal font we were enlightened by the grace of Christ. In the Gospel today, we hear about a man who was blind from birth. Many times our lives are very similar to the life of this man, who has decided to open himself, his life and his heart to God and to His grace. But on the other hand, unfortunately, we can often find ourselves in the characters of the scribes and Pharisees. How many times from the heights of our pride have we judged others, including God? Today, Jesus invites us to open up ourselves to the works of His grace. It is thanks to the grace of God that we can bring forth good results in our lives and consequently eliminate any behaviors contrary to Jesus' teaching. Thanks to His grace we can truly see with our eyes and stop sinning. We must continually repent to follow the path of holiness and grow in it. Jesus sees our hearts and responds accordingly. Let us ask Him to be able to see ourselves and others through the eyes of God. Let us do this in order to rediscover our life's vocation, to take it on and fulfill it, so that in us and through us God's plans are revealed. This coming Saturday, April 1, is the first Saturday of the month. As usual, I invite you all for our prayer gatherings on this day. As always, there is an opportunity for Confession, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, prayer of the Rosary and meditation in silence. Heartfelt Blessings, Fr. Matt Papież Benedykt XVI bardzo trafnie zauważył, że narodziliśmy się niewidomi z powodu grzechu Adama, ale przy chrzcielnicy zostaliśmy oświeceni przez łaskę Chrystusa. Słyszymy dzisiaj w Ewangelii o człowieku niewidomym od urodzenia. Wiele razy nasze życie jest bardzo podobne do życia tego człowieka, który zdecydował otworzyć siebie, swoje życie i serce dla Boga, dla życia w łasce. Ale z drugiej strony niestety, możemy się często odnaleźć również w charakterach uczonych w Piśmie i faryzeuszów. Ile to razy z wyżyn naszej pysznej natury osądzaliśmy innych w tym samego Boga? Dzisiaj Jezus zaprasza nas abyśmy otworzyli się na działanie Jego łaski. To dzięki łasce Boga możemy przynosić dobre owoce w naszym życiu i konsekwentnie eliminować zachowania sprzeczne z nauką Jezusa. Dzięki Jego łasce możemy przejżeć na oczy i przestać grzeszyć. Musimy się nieustannie nawracać aby iść drogą świętości i w niej wzrastać. Jezus widzi nasze serca i reaguje odpowiednio do naszych potrzeb. Prośmy Go dzisiaj, abyśmy mogli zobaczyć siebie i innych oczyma Boga. Abyśmy odkryli na nowo nasze życiowe powołanie, podjęli i wypełnili je, tak aby w nas i przez nas objawiły się sprawy Boże. W najbliższą sobotę przypada 1 kwietnia i pierwsza sobota miesiąca. Zapraszam tradycyjnie w tym dniu na nasze modlitewne spotkania. Jak zawsze możliwość spowiedzi świętej, adoracji Najświętszego Sakramentu, modlitwy różańcowej i medytacji w ciszy. The Stations of the Cross in English will be held at 6:00 PM, whereas the Stations of the Cross in Polish will be held at 7:00 PM.. We encourage all parishioners to attend these meditative prayers focusing on the suffering and passion of Christ.
