(773) Fax (773) Treasures From Our Tradition Along with the reform of the Roman Canon and the redrafting of an ancient Roman prayer in Eucharistic Prayer II, two additional prayers were announced in Eucharistic Prayer III is a fresh composition. Like Eucharistic Prayer II, it has no preface of its own, but the presider chooses from a long menu of possible prefaces to become part of the prayer on a particular occasion. Also, like Eucharistic Prayer II it has a way to insert the name of the deceased in Masses for the dead such as funerals and memorials. The General Instruction of the Roman Missal views Eucharistic Prayer III as the best substitute for Eucharistic Prayer I on Sundays and feasts. In practice, this prayer is used very often at Sunday Mass, and its texts are familiar to all members of the assembly. In this prayer, notice that the priest extends his hands over the gifts and calls down the Holy Spirit to change them into the Body and Blood of Christ. This call of the Holy Spirit is called the epiclesis, and Eastern Christians consider it to be the consecration. Latin Christians have long considered the institution narrative to be the consecration. Partly in response to a deep sensitivity to the East, the reformers took care to structure all our new prayers with a strong epiclesis. As you know, these funds were designated for repairing the heating and cooling system in the rectory. While I would like to complete this project, the circumstances at the Parish have changed since the loss of the school lease and I would like to ask for your support in reallocating this money to better serve our current circumstances. I propose to do this by using the money to recon igure our heating and cooling system in the convent and school in order to be able to manage the temperature and realize savings on heating. In addition, instead of make the major repairs to the rectory, we will manage costs by investing in less expensive modular heating and cooling units. I would like to use any remaining money to allow for repairs that may be needed in the future. To date, the parish has received $62,000 from the campaign. Thank you to all of those who have continued to honor their pledges. I know these have been uncertain times and I want to personally thank you for your dedication to the parish. I am committed to working with you through these dif icult times so that we can focus on revitalizing the Parish. W międzyczasie możliwości budżetowe naszej para ii zmieniły się poważnie ze względu na to, że szkoła publiczna zrezygnowała z wynajmu naszych budynków szkolnych. W związku z powyższym nosimy się z zamiarem przeznaczenia części tych pieniędzy na ogrzewanie i ochładzanie pozostałych budynków naszej para ii, aby w ten sposób zabezpieczyć je przed niszczeniem. Pozostałe pieniądze w przyszłości zostaną użyte na konieczne remonty. Do tej pory nasza para ia z Kampanii Uczyć Kim Jest Chrystus otrzymała $62, Dziękuję serdecznie wszystkim, którzy wciąż wypełniają swoje zobowiązania. By offering our inancial support we provide these young men with the critical education and training they need to shepherd our parishes and administer the sacraments. Last year, more than $978,000 was collected and I am thankful for your past and present support. Pope Francis reminds us that, The Church and the world need mature and balanced priests, intrepid and generous Pastors, capable of closeness, of listening and mercy. There are currently 54 seminarians preparing for a life of service as your future parish priests. Our seminarians motivation and enthusiasm in their pursuit to answer God s call is inspiring. They are the future guides for the spiritual and intellectual formation of our Catholic communities and are well deserving of our prayers and inancial support. Contributions made to this collection alleviate monthly expenses such as tuition and fees ($1,672), room and board ($638), and health insurance ($171) for each seminarian and will be used solely for the formation of new priests for the Archdiocese of Chicago. Udzielając inansowego wsparcia dajemy tym młodym mężczyznom kluczową edukację i formację, jakiej potrzebują, aby byli pasterzami naszych para ii i, aby udzielali nam sakramentów. 5 "Family Fest 2017" Our "FAMILY FEST 2017" will be held on Sunday, October 8th. The day will begin with a 12:30 pm bilingual Mass followed by an afternoon of fun and enjoyment for the entire family. For the adults enjoyment, Siekawica Band will be performing starting at 2:00 pm. Food and refreshments will be available. Donation is $5.00 per person, with children under 12 admitted free. In connection with "FAMILY FEST", the Parish Super Raf le is being held, with the winners being selected at the "FAMILY FEST". GRAND PRIZE $1000; 1st Prize - $700; 2nd Prize - $500; 3rd thru 5th Prize - $100. Raf le tickets are available at $10.00 per ticket.
