Kamila i Joanny de Chantal, W duchu posłuszeństwa mojemu biskupowi przyjąłem Waszą parafię, która od 1 lipca stała się moją też nową parafią. Cieszę się, że będziemy mogli razem modlić się i współpracować na większą chwałę Bożą i pożytek wszystkich wiernych. Zdaję sobie sprawę, że przed nami jest trudne zadanie połączenia dwóch parafii i ludzi z różnych języków i kultur. Łączy nas najważniejsze: wiara w naszego Boga, miłość, którą nosimy w sercach i nadzieja, że Duch Święty będzie nad nami czuwać i nie pozwoli zejść na złą drogę. Zachęcam Was do otwartości, miłości, życzliwości, radości i wytrwałej pracy fizycznej i duchowej. Nie patrzmy na to co jest dobrze dla mnie, ale co jest dobrze dla nas wszystkich. Jestem przekonany, że mamy możliwość zbudowania w oparciu o Wasze doświadczenie z przeszłości, pięknej i silnej parafii, która będzie domem duchowym dla nas wszystkich. Ja urodziłem się w Polsce, 6 listopada 1960 r. Do Stanów Zjednoczonych przyjechałem w 1984 roku. Skończyłem Seminarium Duchowne Świętych Cyryla i Metodego w Orchard Lake. Odbyłem praktykę diakońską w parafii Św. Roberta Bellarmina a święcenia kapłańskie otrzymałem w Katedrze Św. Imienia w Chicago w 1988 roku. Po święceniach, pracowałem przez 7 lat w parafii Św. Konstancji, jeden rok w parafii Św. Ferdynanda. Przez 6 lat byłem proboszczem w parafii Matki Boskiej Częstochowskiej w Cicero i przez następne 15 lat proboszczem parafii Św. Konstancji. Po zakończonej pracy w parafii Św. Konstancji byłem na 6 miesięcznym urlopie sabatycznym. Od stycznia do lipca tego roku posługiwałem jako administrator parafii Pięciu Braci Męczenników. Bardzo pokochałem tamtą parafię i trudno było się z nimi rozstać. Mam nadzieję, że nasza współpraca będzie się układać równie dobrze. W dzisiejszej Ewangelii według Św. Łukasza (10,1-20) słyszymy jak Pan Jezus wysłał 72 swoich uczniów do różnych miejscowości, aby przygotowali mu drogę. Posłał ich jak żeńców na ogromne żniwo. Ostrzegł ich przed trudnościami, z którymi się spotkają, dał im wskazówki jak mają postępować. Najważniejsze co powiedział, że za dobrą pracę czeka ich nagroda w niebie. Zabiegajmy wszyscy o tę nagrodę, nic nie może być piękniejszego i ważniejszego od zbawienia wiecznego. Nawet największe bogactwa przeminą. Tylko wieczny jest Bóg. Chcę zaprosić wszystkich parafian nowej parafii ŚŚ. Kamila i Joanny de Chantal na spotkanie podczas którego chcę wysłuchać Waszych próśb, nadziei i oczekiwań na przyszłość. Spotkanie odbędzie się w kościele Św. Joanny de Chantal, 5252 S. Austin Ave., w czwartek, 11 lipca o godzinie 7:00 pm. Niech Pan Jezus błogosławi naszej nowej parafii. Szczęść Boże! Ks. Camillus and St. Jane de Chantal, In the spirit of obedience to my bishop, I accepted Your parish, which as of July 1 became my new parish as well. I am glad that we will be able to pray and work together for the greater glory of God and the good of all the faithful. I realize that there is a difficult task ahead of us, to unite two parishes and people of different languages and cultures. The most important thing connects us: faith in our God, love that we carry in our hearts and hope that the Holy Spirit will watch over us and will not let us go astray. I encourage you to openness, love, kindness, joy and constant physical and spiritual work. Do not look at what is good for me, but what is good for all of us. I am convinced that we have the possibility to build a beautiful and strong parish based on your past experiences that will be a spiritual home for all of us. I was born in Poland on November 6, I came to the United States in I completed my priestly formation at SS. Cyril & Methodius Seminary in Orchard Lake, Michigan. I completed my transitional diaconate practicum at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish before being ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Chicago at Holy Name Cathedral in After ordination, I worked at St. Constance Parish for 7 years, and 1 year at St. Ferdinand Parish. For 6 years I served as pastor at St. Mary of Czestochowa Parish in Cicero and then for the next 15 years as pastor of St. Constance Parish. After completing my ministry at St. Constance, I was on a 6-month sabbatical leave. From January to July of this year, I served as the administrator of Five Holy Martyrs Parish. I came to love this parish very much and it was difficult for me to part with the parishioners. I hope our time working together will be just as good. In today's Gospel according to St. Luke (10:1-20) we hear how the Lord Jesus sent 72 of his disciples to various places, to prepare the way for him. He sent them like laborers to a great harvest. He warned them of the difficulties they would face and gave them instructions on how to proceed. Most importantly, he said that a reward awaits them in heaven for a job well done. Let us all seek this reward, nothing can be more beautiful and more important than eternal salvation. Even the greatest wealth will pass away. Only God is eternal. I want to invite all parishioners of the new parish of SS. Camillus and Jane de Chantal to a meeting during which I want to listen to your requests, hopes and expectations for the future. Camillus and Jane de Chantal will take place on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 7:00 PM in the church of St. Jane de Chantal, 5252 S. Austin Ave. This meeting will allow parishioners to meet and discuss the expectations about the future of the united parishes with the new pastor, Fr. Ted Dzieszko.
