Jozef Bozek, was being transferred from the Shrine Church of St. Stanislaus to St. Gabriel s Parish in Concord Township, effecve June 12th, 2018. This came as a surprise as there had been no previous indica- ons of such a move. As Fr. Jozef had already arranged for a visit home to Poland to tend to some official maers, he has already departed from us and, upon his return, will report directly to his new assignment. Sadly, as this turn of events precludes our having any type of farewell in appreciaon for his service among us these past five years, I encourage everyone to contact him directly by wring to him in care of St. Gabriel Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township, Ohio 44060. At the same me, I was informed by the Bishop that Fr. Joseph Spolny, Parochial Vicar at St. Barnabas Church in Northfield (near All Saints Cemetery), was to become our new Parochial Vicar here at St. Stanislaus effecve June 12th, 2018. Fr. Spolny was ordained a priest by Bishop Hickey on June 10th, 1978. He has served in the following assignments since then: 19781983, St. Adalbert, Berea; 19831988, Corpus Chris, Cleveland; 19881993, St. Columbkille, Parma; 19982003, St. Clement, Lakewood; 20032010, administrator at SS. Philip and James, Cleveland; 20102014, St. Angela Merici, Fairview Park; 20142018, St, Barnabas, Northfield. Fr. Spolny s first weekend here at St. Stanislaus will be Father s Day weekend, June 16thand 17th. Please join me in welcoming him among us and praying that his me at St. Stanislaus will be a mutually enriching, fruiul and happy one. Fr. Erich Orzech, Pastor, Shrine Church of St. Stanislaus. A PRIESTLY SILVER JUBILEE On May 29, 1993, Bp. Anthony Pilla ordained Fr. Eric Orzech a priest for service to the Diocese of Cleveland. That means this year of 2018 marks his silver Jubilee, 25 years of service. As our Pastor, Fr. Eric wishes to share this celebraon with all of us. A fesve bilingual Mass of Thanksgiving will be offered on Sunday, June 24th, the feast of St. John the Bapst, at 3 PM. EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND. Immediately following the Mass everyone is invited to join in a celebratory banquet at the Tremont CitySide Ballroom, 2187 West 14th street in Cleveland. There will be NO charge for parishioners of St. Stanislaus to aend the banquet however, for planning purposes, reservaons must be made to the Parish Office (216) 3419091 by Wednesday, June 18th. Please plan on joining with your Parish Family as we give thanks and praise to God for the gi of the Priesthood and humbly beseech him to raise up more laborers for His vineyard, especially from amongst our number.

The FIVE First Communicants at the 11:30 Mass on May 20 will be Sophie Lukachinsky (granddaughter of Joseph & Elizabeth Lukachinsky) and Regina Jacobs (child of Patrick & Linda Jacobs, granddaughter of Anne & Frank Greczanik). These children were prepared for First Communion by the Good Shepherd catechists of St. Stanislaus. In addion, two students from our grade School: Belinda Merryman and Victoria Principi will be receiving the sacrament along with Anthony Toglia, son of Mayor Anthony (Independence) and Michelle Toglia, from Incarnate Word Academy. Our blessings and prayers go with these five beauful children of God. INFANTS AND TODDLERS OF SV Soon school will let out for the Summer and those children that received breakfast and lunch at school may be facing empty cupboards at home. It is a harsh reality. But we, as in the past, can help by keeping God s words in mind...to love our neighbor. A box of cereal, can of ravioli, pancake mix could make all the difference in the world to a hungry child. Please keep them close to your hearts and remember that whatever you do to the least of His children you do unto Him. Baskets are in the vesbule...please fill them! Thank you for helping! A $25 gi card will be drawn at the end of the month. Duch Święty czuwa nad nami i do każdego przemawia indywidualnie. Każdy z nas może Go słyszeć w swoim własnym języku. Powtarzaj ustami i całym życiem: przyjdź Duchu Święty, ja pragnę...
