TEACHING RESULTS AND THE METHODS OF ASSESSING TEACHING RESULTS Modue target The aim of the modue is to famiiarise students with computer simuation with the use of the finite eement method (FEM), acquire practica skis concerning work with the MES ADINA program, skis concerning pane and spherica inear issue of soid body mechanics. A student knows and understands the methods of deriving matrix equations of equiibrium for the simpest finite eements. A student knows basic numerica methods which are utiised in FEM (a student can aso utiise them). A student can assess the accuracy of the obtained resuts; a student aso understands theoretica fundamentas of such assessment. A student can utiise iterature on the subject in Engish. A student can prepare a mode and conduct a simpe static anaysis for basic types of finite eements: rod, support, fat coating, and capacity. A student can prepare a parametric mode for a simpe construction mode in the form of IN fie of the ADINA program. A student can estimate the advantages and disadvantages of commercia and free software utiised for computer simuations. A student can prepare a report after the conducted cacuations which contain technica documentation as we as computation resuts presented in a graphica form. The design process comprises 4 so-caed bocks of 4 hours. Additionay, students are acquainted with basic information on modeing a typica construction type during the first cass of each bock; they prepare sampe modes (as part of the instructions) and draw project subjects. Students present initia project resuts during the second cass. A fina written report on the project is presented within one week after the initia presentation.
