2 Modue target The aim of the modue is to famiiarise students with physica phenomena connected with fuid statics, kinematics, and dynamics. Another aim is to acquaint students with the abiity of anaysing the fow system in open and cosed pipes and soving technoogica probems on the basis of fuid mechanics aws. A student has basic knowedge on fuid statics; moreover, a student knows basic equation of statics; a student knows the instruments for measuring pressure; a student has eementary knowedge on determining hydrostatic thrust; moreover, a student understands the differences between absoute pressure, negative pressure and overpressure; finay, a student is knowedgeabe about reative equiibrium. A student knows basic notions of fuid kinematics; a student is knowedgeabe about equations of continuity. A student is famiiar with the methods of determining fow rate, mass and capacity fow rate; moreover, a student is famiiar with: Euer and Bernoui equations, the methods of determining pressure osses during the fow of viscous fuid; a student aso has eementary knowedge as regards the dynamics of gasses and fows around soid bodies by viscous fuids. A student is capabe of determining fuid capacity, viscosity, or density at pressure and temperature change.
