Modue target The aim of the modue is to famiiarise students with: computer simuation with the use of the finite eement methods; acquiring practica skis concerning work with MES ADINA and Femap/NX Nastra methods; skis of soving fat and spherica issues of soid body mechanics. A student knows and understands the methods of deriving FEM methods on the basis of formuating a weak formuation. A student knows basic numerica methods utiised in FEM and can use them. A student can assess the quaity of the obtained finite eement mesh and the accuracy of the obtained resuts. A student can aso understand theoretica fundamentas of these assessments. A student can use the iterature on the subject in Engish. A student can prepare a mode and conduct a static anaysis for a mixed mode containing finite eements: rod, support, fat, coating, and capacity. A student can assess the quaity of finite eement mesh generated in the Femap program. A student can join the advantages and disadvantages of various types of commercia and free software utiised for computer simuations. After the conducted cacuations, a student can prepare a report after the conducted cacuations containing technica documentation as we as cacuation resuts in a graphica form.
