13 TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME Lipcowe Nabożeństwa MIESIĄC ADORACJI NAJDROŻSZEJ KRWI JEZUSA Zgodnie z tradycją lipiec poświęcony jest czci Najdroższej Krwi Chrystusa. JUNE 30 TH, 2019 July s Devotion MONTH DEVOTED TO THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS By tradition, the Catholic Church dedicates each month year to certain devotions. July is devoted to the Precious Blood of Jesus. The feast Precious Blood of our Lord was instituted in 1849 by Pius IX, but the devotion is as old as Christianity. The early Fathers say that the Church was born from the pierced side of Christ, and that the sacraments were brought forth through His Blood. In the past, the feast Precious Blood of Christ was celebrated on the first Sunday of July, in 1911, the feast was moved to July 1, where it remained until the reforms following Vatican II when the feast was suppressed. In its place, the church combined the feasts of Corpus Christi and the Precious Blood into the solemnity Holy Body of Blood and Christ. Pope John XXIII was devoted to the Precious Blood. He approved the present form Litany Precious Blood. "The Precious Blood which we worship is the Blood which the Savior shed for us on Calvary and reassumed at His glorious Resurrection; it is the Blood which courses through the veins of His risen, glorified, living body at the right hand of God the Father in heaven; it is the Blood made present on our altars by the words of Consecration; it is the Blood which merited sanctifying grace for us and through it washes and beautifies our soul and inaugurates the beginning of eternal life in it." The Litany to the Precious Blood of Jesus will be recited on Sundays and Fridays, after Masses. The first Thursday month is dedicated to the prayer for new vocations for the religious and priestly life. W PIERWSZE CZWARTKI MIESIĄCA o godzinie 18:20 modlimy sie w intencji kapłanów i powołań do życia kapłańskiego i konsekrowanego. On July 2, 1776, Congress voted to approve a complete separation from Great Britain. Two days afterwards July 4th the early draft Declaration of Independence was signed, albeit by only two individuals at that time: John Hancock, President of Congress, and Charles Thompson, Secretary of Congress. Four days later, on July 8, members of Congress took that document and read it aloud from the steps of Independence Hall, proclaiming it to the city of Philadelphia, after which the Liberty Bell was rung. The inscription around the top of that bell, Leviticus 25:10, was most appropriate for the occasion: Proclaim liberty throughout the land and to all the inhabitants thereof. It is amazing that on the very day they approved the Declaration, Adams was already foreseeing that their actions would be celebrated by future generations. Adams contemplated whether it would be proper to hold such celebrations, but then concluded that the day should be commemorated but in a particular manner and with a specific spirit. As he told Abigail: It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. Dzień Niepodległości to państwowe święto w USA obchodzone 4 lipca. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!
SIOSTRA FAUSTYNA O NAJDROSZEJ KRWI PANA JEZUSA SISTER FAUSTINA ABOUT THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS 72. O Jesus, eternal Truth, our Life, I call upon You and I beg Your mercy for poor sinners. O sweetest Heart of my Lord, full of pity and unfathomable mercy, I plead with You for poor sinners. O Sacred Heart, Fount of Mercy from which gush forth rays of inconceivable graces upon the entire human race, I beg of You light for poor sinners. O Jesus, be mindful of Your own bitter Passion and do not permit the loss of souls redeemed at so dear a price of Your most precious Blood. O Jesus, when I consider the great price of Your Blood, I rejoice at its immensity, for one drop alone would have been enough for the salvation of all sinners. Although sin is an abyss of wickedness and ingratitude, the price paid for us can never be equalled. Therefore, let every soul trust in the Passion Lord, and place its hope in His mercy. God will not deny His mercy to anyone. Heaven and earth may change, but God s mercy will never be exhausted. Oh, what immense joy burns in my heart when I contemplate Your incomprehensible goodness, O Jesus! I desire to bring all sinners to Your feet that they may glorify Your mercy throughout endless ages. 72. Robert Będziński Shrine Office: 978-744-1278 or visit us at: www.jpiidivinemercyshrine.org THE NEW ALTAR and IMPROVEMENTS IN OUR SHRINE Plans are underway for the new altar at our shrine. The Shrine has been blessed by the financial support from many donors. An amount of $60,000 has been raised to cover the cost altar. We also received a donation to cover the cost two images on either side altar. Currently the altar is being constructed in Poland and it will be sent here by ship. There s also an HVAC system in our plans to make the upper church more comfortable and also to fight with moisture in the upper church. We are also thinking about an elevator/lift to make our upper church available for everyone where the main altar with all the relics will be installed. We want it to be available for everyone so the next step is to make handicap bathrooms accessible. In the meantime, there is work to be done in preparation for the new altar. The masonry outside the church has been repaired as well as several small roof leaks. New gutters have been installed on the rectory. The inside walls behind the altar have been sealed and painted. The presbytery will have to be painted before the altar is installed. These repairs and renovations are costly and we need to raise funds for this purpose. You may also notice new insulated windows in the assembly room and the upper sacristy. These are a great improvement which will save on heating and cooling costs. There is also new fencing in front church. We are also in the process of looking to reopen our school building. This is a daunting task as the building needs major renovations. There are many men in the shrine community who have offered their time and skills to complete these projects. We would only have to pay for materials. In order to have heat and water in the school the pipes need to be repaired. The Archdiocese will cover this cost through insurance; however, we must have the asbestos covering the pipes removed. Asbestos removal is also necessary on the boiler and in the cafeteria. The second collections are presently held for this reason. I am grateful to those who, through spiritual and physical help, engage in the development of our church and school buildings. We wish to have the shrine attract many people who will find spiritual fulfillment and become disciples sharing the word of Christ to others. Thank you again for your kindness, prayers and financial support. May God bless you all.
