Región Redentorista de San Gerardo Esta segunda colecta se llevara a cabo el 11 y 12 de agosto. Esta región fue fundada el 25 de octubre de 2006 por la Provincia de Varsovia. Pero la historia de la presencia redentorista en esta zona se remonta a principios del siglo XX. En 1908 los Redentoristas polacos celebraron la llamada Misión Siberiana predicando en 21 parroquias de Siberia. Muchos redentoristas de las Provincias de Lviv y Varsovia fueron exiliados a Siberia en 1939 y allí trabajaron al lado de los católicos de la Iglesia clandestina. La mayoría de ellos regresaron a sus países después de los años pasados en Siberia, a excepción del Padre Basilio Rutka que permaneció en Prokopiewsk para continuar su ministerio. Después de la caída de la Unión Soviética en 1993, los Redentoristas de la Provincia de Varsovia volvieron a trabajar en Rusia y en Kazajstán. En Prokopiewsk se estableció en 1996 una comunidad internacional con los Padres Anthony Branagan, de la Provincia de Dublín, el Padre Dariusz Lysakowski, de la Provincia de Varsovia, y el Padre Andre Moak, de la Provincia de Lviv. Ogłoszenia Parafialne 12 sierpnia 2018 r. XIX Niedziela Zwykła w Ciągu Roku Żydzi szemrali przeciwko Niemu, dlatego że powiedział: Jam jest chleb, który z nieba zstąpił. I mówili: Czyż to nie jest Jezus, syn Józefa, którego ojca i matkę my znamy? Jakżeż może On teraz mówić: Z nieba zstąpiłem. Jezus rzekł im w odpowiedzi: Nie szemrajcie między sobą! Nikt nie może przyjść do Mnie, jeżeli go nie pociągnie Ojciec, który Mnie posłał; Ja zaś wskrzeszę go w dniu ostatecznym. Napisane jest u Proroków: Oni wszyscy będą uczniami Boga. Każdy, kto od Ojca usłyszał i nauczył się, przyjdzie do Mnie. Nie znaczy to, aby ktokolwiek widział Ojca; jedynie Ten, który jest od Boga, widział Ojca. Zaprawdę, zaprawdę, powiadam wam: Kto /we Mnie/ wierzy, ma życie wieczne. Jam jest chleb życia. Ojcowie wasi jedli mannę na pustyni i pomarli. W ikonografii scena Wniebowzięcia Maryi należy do bardzo często przedstawianych (dla przykładu: Fra Angelico - w kilku obrazach, Taddeo di Bartolo, Ottaviano Nelli, Giotto, Pinturicchio, C. Bellini, Raffael, Tycjan, Tintoretto, Tiepolo, Perugino, Procaccini, Filippino Lippi, Veronese, Murillo, Velasquez, Konrad von Goest; rzeźbiarze: Liberale da Verona, L. della Robbia, Michał Pacher, Wit Stwosz). Pod opiekę Maryi Wniebowziętej oddał Węgry król św. Stefan, a Francję - król Ludwik XIII (powtórzył to także Ludwik XV). W polskiej (i nie tylko) tradycji święto Wniebowzięcia N.M.P. zwane jest również świętem Matki Bożej Zielnej. Na pamiątkę podania głoszącego, że Apostołowie zamiast ciała Maryi znaleźli kwiaty, poświęca się kwiaty, zioła i kłosy zbóż. Lud wierzy, że zioła poświęcone w tym dniu za pośrednictwem Maryi otrzymują moc leczniczą i chronią od chorób i zarazy. Rolnicy tego dnia dziękują Bogu za plony ziemi i ziarno, które zebrali z pól. St. Mary s Parish News August 12, 2018 Nineteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time John 6:41-51 Food Sale Our third food sale of the summer will be taking place this Sunday, August 12, starting at 11:30 AM. We hope to count with your attendance and support. Jesus responds to the murmurs of the crowd, who wonders what he means when he says that he came down from heaven. Background on the Gospel Reading On this Sunday, we continue to read from the Bread of Life discourse found in the sixth chapter of John s Gospel. Recall that we have been reading from this chapter for the past two weeks and will continue to read from it for another two. Last week, the crowd asked for a sign that would show that Jesus came from God. Jesus replied by saying that he is the sign and the bread of life sent by God. At this point, our Lectionary omits six verses in which Jesus predicts the unbelief of the crowd and further develops his connection with God the Father. In these verses, Jesus says that he was sent by God to do the Father s will. Jesus promises that those who look upon the Son with faith will find eternal life. Some of these themes are repeated in today s Gospel reading. Today s Gospel begins with a report that the Jews complained about Jesus claims regarding his identity. They knew his family, and they knew he was the son of Joseph. They could not comprehend what Jesus meant when he said that he came down from heaven. Jesus responds to the complaints by saying that only those who are chosen by God will recognize him as the one that God sent. This is a recurring theme in John s Gospel, that God has chosen those who will have faith in Jesus. In the verses that follow, Jesus talks more about his unity with the Father. He is the one who has seen the Father and, therefore, knows the Father. Those who listen to God will recognize that Jesus is the one sent from God. Those who believe will have eternal life. Jesus concludes with the central element of our eucharistic theology. He promises that the bread of life will bring eternal life to those who partake of it, and he tells us that the bread of life will be his own flesh, given for the life of the world. In today s reading, we hear Jesus say again, as he did in last week's Gospel, that he is the bread of life. We also hear Jesus add that he is the living bread. Both of these statements help us understand better the gift that Jesus gives us in the Eucharist. We celebrate this gift of Jesus each time we gather for Mass. Region of St. Gerard This second collection will be taking place this weekend August 11 and 12 The Region was established on October 25th 2006 by Province of Warsaw. However, the history of the Redemptorist presence in these areas began in the early XX century. The Redemptorists from Poland, in 1908, conducted the so-called Siberia Mission preaching in 21 parishes of Siberia. Many Redemptorists of the Lviv and Warsaw Province were exiled to Siberia in 1939 and they worked for the Catholics in the underground Church. However most of them returned to their own countries after several years in Siberia except Fr. Basil Rutka, who remained in Prokopievsk where he continued the ministry. After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1993, the Redemptorists of the Warsaw Province started to work once again in Russia and in Kazakhstan. There was established an international community in Prokopievsk from 1996 with Fr. Anthony Branagan from the Dublin Province, Fr. Darius Lysakowski from Warsaw and Fr. Andre Moak from the Lviv. They joined Fr. Yaroslav Spoder who had been in Prokopievsk for many years. 14 priests (13 from Poland and one from Ireland) belong to the Region of St. Gerard. They work in Russia in 5 places (Togliatti, Orsk, Pionerskij, Orenburg, and Kemerovo) and in one city in Kazakhstan (Petropavlovsk). Fr.
