Attendance requirements: at least 80% (the content of every missed class will be verified on individual meetings). 2. Description of courses and student self-study Lecture 8.2AES tutor course content This course focuses on anthropological dimension of art as a way of describing reality. Following detailed issues will be presented: - anthropology amidst other art theories, its methods of analysis and interpretation, - functions of art, - considering pieces of art from different angles social, historic, natural and cultural and analysing selected examples from this perspectives; diachronic analysis. Methods of learning effects verification Presentation 8.2AES_w_1 course(s) examiner(s) 8.2AES_fs_1 requirements The presentation's aim is to verify if students are able to use theoretical knowledge gained in this course to present and analyse selected pieces of art. Student is obliged to prepare a presentation with the use of collected and compiled and materials (reference books, museum collections, internet resources). As the presentations will be given in class, students need to be well prepared for the them i.e. fully understand presented content and be ready to discuss it. Strona 3 z 5

Apart from that, following skills will be assessed: * collecting literature and materials concerning selected issue, * verification, assessment, analysis and compilation of collected * preparing a multimedia presentation, * the way of presenting collected and compiled, * grammatical correctness verification procedure Students are obliged to prepare a presentation lasting 20-30 minutes. After the presentation they submit a dossier. Final grade is given as soon as all students give their presentations. Presentation dates will be set sufficiently in advance. Dissertation 8.2AES_w_2 course(s) examiner(s) 8.2AES_fs_2 requirements evaluation criteria verification procedure The dissertation's aim is to check if students are able to use theoretical knowledge gained in this course to present and analyse selected pieces of art. Student is obliged to write a paper with the use of collected and compiled and materials (reference books, museum collections, internet resources). Students are obliged to prove that they are familiar with basic terminology, concepts and issues presented in this course. Apart from that, the following skills will be assessed: * collecting literature concerning selected issue, * verification, assessment, analysis and compilation of collected, * ability to write a correct scientific text, * grammatical correctness Student is obliged to write a paper (e.g. an essay). Technical requirements for the course paper: approximately 5 pages, formatted in Word, font Times New Roman, 12 pt., 1.5 line spacing (default page set-up).
