For information call: 201-443-8384 Religious Education For Children: CCD classes are held every Sunday from September through April at 9:15 am. Classes are conducted in our school building. Confessions: Daily Monday to Saturday following the 7:00 am Mass. Saturday afternoons at 3:30 pm. Sacrament Of The Sick: Sick Calls or other Emergency Calls should be made to the rectory at any time. Arrangements can also be made for regular visitations at home or hospital for Holy Communion and/or Confession. We urge you to keep us aware of parishioners who are ill in the hospital or at home. Marriages: Please make arrangements at least one year in advance. Couples are urged to solemnize their vows at a Nuptial Mass. Baptisms: The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated each month on the First Sunday (in English) and on the Third Sunday (in Polish). A required Baptismal Program for Parents is conducted at 1:00 pm on the second Sunday of the month in Polish and on the last Sunday in English. Christmas Decoration Collection Soon, Fr. Robert and his elves will be in full swing decorating our beautiful church for the Christmas season. We thank him and his helpers in advance for the hard work and long hours that go into decorating our church. Next weekend we will take up our Christmas Flower Offering. Altar Society Meeting The Altar Society is one of the oldest in OLMC. Formed over 80 years ago, it is a society of women dedicated to the maintenance and improvement of our altar area and liturgical items. The society meets 4 times a year for Eucharistic adoration and takes part in the weekly care of the altar linens and sanctuary area, as well as season cleaning of the church. Wednesday, Dec. 12 6:00 PM in church - Adoration with our Confirmation class. AWAITING THE SALVATION OF GOD The world does not seem big enough to contain the jubilation of the first reading. In the Gospel reading, the Roman empire isn t big enough, either. The great powers of Rome are named and made to stand waiting for the arrival of God s salvation. And we find Paul meditating joyfully on what really matters. According to Baruch, the city of Jerusalem is like a person standing on tiptoe looking for God s salvation, which is coming from the east. Those who were led away on foot, heads down, now come back, a proud people. Why, the very way is smoothed out. The path is lined with fragrant, lush trees. It can t get any better than this, can it? Well, yes, it can. For a voice calls out in the desert. Here is the beginning of the salvation of God.
