W przypadku montowania telefonu na ścianie z płyt gipsowo kartonowych należy zaopatrzyć się w odpowiednie kotwy, w przypadku montaży na ścianie drewnianej w odpowiednie wkręty do drewna, itd. 3.1. Podłączenie linii telefonicznej i słuchawki Koniec kabla skrętnego łączącego słuchawkę z bazą umieść w odpowiednim gnieździe znajdującym się u dołu bazy. Drugi koniec przewodu telefonicznego umieść w gniazdku w ścianie. Oba końce zakończone są wtyczką typu RJ 11 i do takiego podłączenia aparat jest przystosowany. W przypadku posiadania innego gniazdka należy zaopatrzyć się w odpowiedni adapter 4. Podstawowe działanie aparatu telefonicznego 4.1. Wykonywanie i odbieranie połączeń telefonicznych. 4 Wybieranie numeru telefonicznego odbywa się następująco:

Przerwa kalibrowana FLASH ( opcja- w zależności od wersji) Funkcja FLASH jest najczęściej wykorzystywana przez abonentów centralek wewnętrznych, głównie do przekazywania rozmów telefonicznych. Ponadto abonenci nowoczesnych central, używając tej funkcji, mogą mieć dostęp do szeregu specjalnych funkcji oferowanych przez operatorów sieci. Szczegółowych informacji na ten temat udzielają Biura Obsługi Klienta tych operatorów. Jeśli jesteś użytkownikiem centralki wewnętrznej, możesz przekazać rozmowę pod inny numer wewnętrzny w sposób następujący: - naciśnij przycisk [FLASH] - wybierz numer pod który chcesz przekazać rozmowę; - odłóż słuchawkę na aparat (możesz poczekać na połączenie i dopiero potem odłożyć słuchawkę). 4.3. Powtarzanie numeru -funkcja REDIAL Aby ponownie wybrać ostatni wybierany numer podnieś słuchawkę i czekaj na sygnał. Następnie kliknij przycisk REDIAL znajdujący się w środku tarczy wybierania numeru. POLSKI 5. Ustawienia aparatu. 5.1. Ustawienie trybu wybierania Pulse/Tone (opcja- w zależności od wersji) Aparat fabrycznie ustawiony jest w tryb wybierania tonowego, w którym pracuje obecnie zdecydowana większość central, który umożliwia korzystanie z dodatkowych usług oferowanych przez operatorów. Aby zmienić tryb wybierania z impulsowego na tonowe : Zlokalizuj przełącznik TONE/PULSE znajdujący się na dole aparatu Jeśli wymagane jest wybieranie tonowe przesuń przełącznik na TONE Jeśli wymagane jest wybieranie impulsowe przesuń przełącznik na PULSE 5.2. Ustawianie natężenia głosu w słuchawce (opcja- w zależności od wersji) Zlokalizuj przełącznik VOLUME znajdujący się na dole aparatu (Rys poniżej) Ustaw przełącznik VOLUME na HI aby uzyskać maksymalny poziom głośności Ustaw przełącznik VOLUME na NORMAL aby uzyskać normalny poziom głośności 5.3. Installation The Wood Wall Phone is wall mounted using the supplied hardware kit. If possible, install the telephone in an area near the wall jack. If a wall jack does not exist, it will be necessary to have one installed. Follow the following steps to prepare a template for marking the wall at the desired mounting location. Lay the phone flat on a large piece of paper. Without moving the phone, trace the location of each of the four mounting holes onto the paper. (see Figure 1) Carefully tape the paper template on the wall where you will be mounting the phone. Important, confirm the top mounting hole tracings are level. (see Figure 3) The Wood Wall Telephone can be mounted directly over a wall modular jack. This requires using the short modular telephone cord for this purpose. (See Figure 2) If the modular jack you intend to use is located some distance away from the telephone, it will be necessary to use the long modular telephone cord to make the connection. Plug the required telephone line cord into the jack on the back of the phone, then set the phone aside. 9

ENGISH Note: If you are not mounting the phone directly over the modular phone jack, press the phone cord into the groove on the back of the phone so the cord is flush with the back. 2.1. Mounting to drywall/sheetrock without a stud Screw a metal anchor into the wall with a screwdriver at each top mark on the template. Drill 3/16-inch hole or use the tip of the screwdriver to pierce the wall at each of the bottom marks. If using the screwdriver tip, press firmly and twist the same way you would a screw. Push a plastic screw plug (supplied) into each bottom hole and tap with a hammer until seated. Carefully pull the paper template away from the wall to remove it. If mounting over a wall jack, plug the remaining end of the short modular telephone cord into the jack. Insert the 4 long screws (supplied) through the phone s mounting holes. Place the phone against the wall and tighten the screws with a screwdriver. 2.2. Mounting on Plaster/Lathe or Solid Wood Mark each mounting mark on the template, then start one of the self-tapping screws with a screwdriver to start it. After a few turns, remove the screw. Repeat this process for each of the four mounting holes. Carefully pull the paper template away from the wall to remove it. If mounting over the wall jack, plug the remaining end of the short modular telephone cord into the jack. Insert the 4 long screws (supplied) through the phone s mounting holes. 10

ENGLISH If you are not mounting the telephone directly over the telephone jack, connect the remaining end of the long telephone cord to the telephone jack. Place a rubber spacer over each screw, so the spacer is between the back of the phone and the wall. Place the phone against the wall and tight the screws with a screwdriver. Connect the modular handset cord to the modular handset jack and the corresponding modular jack located on the lower front surface of the Wood Wall Telephone. (See Figure 4) 3. Operation 3.1. Pulse/Tone dialing Your telephone is equipped with a switch to choose either tone or pulse dialing. When selecting the desired dialing mode, be sure the telephone handset has been placed in the cradle. Locate the Dial slide switch on the bottom surface of the telephone.(see Figure 4) If tone dialing is desired, set the Dial switch to Tone position. If pulse dialing is desired, set the Dial switch to Pulse position. Note: The above function is available subject to the specification of the phone you have. 3.2. Setting the RINGER On/Off switch The ringer on you telephone can be turned on or off. Locate the Ringer switch on the bottom surface of your telephone.(see Figure 4 or Figure 5) Set the Ringer to the ON position for normal operation. Set the Ringer switch to the OFF position to turn the ringer sound off. 3.3. Setting the RECEIVER VOLUME switch Set the Volume switch to NORMAL position for normal receiver volume level. (see Figure 5) Set the Volume switch to HI position for maximum receiver volume level. 11

Using the REDIAL button To redial the last number dialed, pick up the handset and wait for dial tone. Press the Redial button located in the dialing keypad after dial tone is heard in the handset receiver. (see Figure6 or Figure 7 ) Note: Please refer to the right Figure according to the specification of telephone you have. 3.5. Using the FLASH button You can conveniently get a new dial tone to make a new call without handing up the handset. When you have finished your call and want to make another call, simply press the Flash button located in the center of the dialing keypad. (see Figure 7) Wait hear dial tone prior to dialing. The Flash button can also be used to access special telephone company features such as call waiting if you are a subscriber. Press the Flash button to put the existing call on hold and answer the new call. When you finish the call, press the Flash button to return to the original call. Note: The above function is available for certain style of telephone. 12

ENGLISH 4. Care and Maintenance Wooden telephone may require a periodic dusting and polishing. Dust the telephone with a dry cloth blotted with lemon oil. Use a second dry cloth to polish the wooden components. Keep your telephone away from hear as high temperatures can shorten the life of the electrical components and distort or melt its plastic parts. Your telephone should be kept free of dust and moisture. If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately. Liquids can contain minerals that can corrode electronic circuits. Handle your telephone gently and carefully. Dropping it can cause serious damage to circuitry, or the case, which may result in causing it to malfunction. Do not use any type of chemical or any abrasive powder to clean the cabinet. Use only mild detergents on a soft, damp cloth to clean the telephone. The telephone has built-in surge protection circuits that meet or exceed FCC requirement. However, an incident such as a lighting strike at our near the telephone lines, could cause series damage. If the telephone is installed in an area with frequent/or sever electrical storms, it is suggested that the telephone be disconnected during these storms. 5. Trouble Shooting No dial tone The telephone line cord is not plugged in properly at the telephone jack or at the telephone. 13

ENGISH Test the telephone by using a different telephone jack. If it works, the first jack may be defective. Have dial tone but cannot dial out Check if the Pulse/Tone switch is set to the correct position for your type of telephone service. Phone does not ring Check if the Ringer On/Off switch is set to the ON position.
