SCHOOL NEWS... Open registration for St. Francis Borgia School for the 2018-2019 school year is ongoing. We offer: - 3-Year Old Pre-School - Five Days - Monday- Friday Half Day - 7:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Full Day - 7:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. - 4-Year Old Pre-Kindergarten - Five Days - Monday through Friday Half Day - 7:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Full Day - 7:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Full Day Kindergarten Monday through Friday - 7:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Grades 1 through 8 7:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Extended Day Program (EDP) (offered on all days school is in session; this program is tax deductible) 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please stop by the school office (3535 North Panama) on any regular school day to register your child/ren. Please bring an original birth certificate (including birth number) and baptismal certificate. Copies of your documents will be made in the school office. A nonrefundable $100.00 registration fee and non-refundable $100.00 tuition deposit are due at the time of registration. If you have any questions, please call the school at 773-589-1000. Father Lojek has generously offered a $500 tuition credit to any family that recruits a new family to register and stays for the new school year. Tomasz Jarosz from Rome "REJOICE AND BE GLAD!" Recently, Pope Francis wrote a wonderful Letter about Holiness, "Exultate et Gaudete." Fr. Joe Mulcrone will offer a three-night discussion on the Letter. WEDNESDAYS, JULY 11th, 18th, and 25th, at 7-8pm, in Stokes Center. FREE. Please register with the rectory, so he knows how many to expect. Fr. Joe will also have copies of the Letter available for $10/each. There will be a Healing Mass in the Chapel after the Rosary at 7:00 pm on Thursdays, July 12th with Fr. Miller.
Prayer Shawl Ministry We have prayers shawls available for a loved one, either homebound, in the hospital, in a nursing home, undergoing chemo, serving our country, or just in need of comfort. They provide a bit of support, warmth, and often a sense of an embrace for those who need it most. Something so simple is often the brightest thing that has happened for a person in some time and can even bring a touch of home to them. There is no cost to the recipient. RESPECT LIFE Preeminent Threats The United States Catholic Bishops wrote to us as follows in their document on Faithful Citizenship (2007) about the preeminent moral issues we face in society today. They explain, In our nation, abortion and euthanasia have become preeminent threats to human dignity because they directly attack life itself, the most fundamental human good and the condition for all others (Living the Gospel of Life, no. 5). It is a mistake with grave moral consequences to treat the destruction of innocent human life merely as a matter of individual choice. Nowenna do Matki Boskiej Nieustającej Pomocy Msza Św. wraz z Nowenną do Matki Boskiej Nieustającej Pomocy odbywa się w naszym Kościele w każdą środę o godz. 7:00 wieczorem. Kult Matki Bożej Nieustającej Pomocy sięga początków chrześcijaństwa. Nowenna ta nazywana jest nieustanną, ponieważ odprawiana jest w ustalony dzień tygodnia (najczęściej we środę) przez cały rok. W wizerunku ikony dopatrywano się czule spoglądającą Matkę Bożą, gotową pospieszyć nam z pomocą w każdej potrzebie. Stąd upowszechniła się nazwa tego obrazu Matki Bożej Nieustającej Pomocy. KURS PRZEDMAŁŻEŃSKI W parafii Św. Franciszka Borgia odbędzie się Kurs Przedmałżeński w niedzielę, 22 lipca. Rozpoczęcie Mszą Św. o godz. 1:30 pm a następnie wykłady.
