For information call: 201-443-8384 Religious Education For Children: CCD classes are held every Sunday from September through April at 9:15 am. Classes are conducted in our school building. Confessions: Daily Monday to Saturday following the 7:00 am Mass. Saturday afternoons at 4:00 pm. Sacrament Of The Sick: Sick Calls or other Emergency Calls should be made to the rectory at any time. Arrangements can also be made for regular visitations at home or hospital for Holy Communion and/or Confession. We urge you to keep us aware of parishioners who are ill in the hospital or at home. Marriages: Please make arrangements at least one year in advance. Couples are urged to solemnize their vows at a Nuptial Mass. Baptisms: The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated each month on the First Sunday (in English) and on the Third Sunday (in Polish). A required Baptismal Program for Parents is conducted at 1:00 pm on the second Sunday of the month in Polish and on the last Sunday in English. Carmel Archbishop s Annual Appeal It is not too late to make a Pledge or Gift! Your Lenten Sacrifice will assist the poor, educate our seminarians and provide needed services for our parishes. Envelopes are found at church entrances and in the pews. Thank You to all who have already responded! Our Parish's annual Eucharistic Days (40 hours) take place next weekend. The closing ceremony will be Sunday, March 30 4:00 PM Vespers and Benediction. There are many hours available for Eucharistic Adoration. In particular, we will have all night Adoration: Friday night from 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM. Please sign up this weekend for an hour during that night or for one of the other adoration times. The Blessed Sacrament will be present 12 Noon to 4:45 PM on Saturday. Come spend an hour with the Lord Jesus. Religious Education Registration. CCD Registration for Grades Pre-K though 8 for next year s program will be held in the School building first floor office from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Parish Dues book paid for 2014 must be presented for registration. ( Dues may be paid at the time of registration.) In 2013 we have begun a new custom. The Easter Vigil Mass has multiple intentions. Everyone may list their loved ones for prayer during the Easter Vigil Mass. There is a special envelope in your envelope packets by which you may include your loved ones for remembrance. Please deposit the envelope in any Sunday collection or forward it to the Parish Office. EVENING OF THEOLOGY David Hajduk, author of God s Plan for You will present a talk on Love, Life, and Marriage on Tuesday evening, April 2 at 7:00 PM in St. Henry s Parish Center. (28th St.) Mr. Hajduk is the director of Campus Ministry for Delbarton School in Morristown and an adjunct Professor of Theology at the Immaculate Conception Seminary at Seton Hall. The basis of the presentation is from Blessed Pope John Paul II s teachings on the Theology of the Body. For information: Marie Pope at 201-339-0319 THIRST Each time today s Gospel story is read, we can t help but think of the many television commercials we ve seen depicting perspiring athletes lifting a beverage to their lips while the scorching sun beats down on them. Our culture has definite ideas about how to quench thirst. Today, those ideas are turned upside down. The Samaritan woman operates, initially, on the TV commercial level. She asks Jesus for the flowing water so that she will not have to keep coming to the well. Jesus then talks about what real thirst is, and how he, and he alone, can quench that thirst. Lent calls us to find those places deep within ourselves where we thirst. In our thirst, as did the Israelites, we cry out to God asking for springs of living water. Deep down we know that only the Lord can satisfy these thirsts. Archanioł Gabriel przyszedł do Maryi, niewiasty z Nazaretu, by zwiastować Jej, że to na Niej spełnią się obietnice proroków, a Jej Syn, którego pocznie w cudowny i dziewiczy sposób za sprawą Ducha Świętego, będzie Synem samego Boga. Fakt, że uroczystość ta przypada często w trakcie Wielkiego Postu uzmysławia nam, że tajemnica Wcielenia jest nierozerwalnie związana z tajemnicą śmierci i zmartwychwstania Chrystusa. Nie mamy także pewności, dlaczego na obchód tajemnicy Zwiastowania wybrano właśnie dzisiejszy dzień. Najczęściej podaje się wyjaśnienie wiążące 25 marca z dniem, w którym celebrujemy Narodzenie Pańskie - 25 grudnia, a zatem datami, które dzieli dokładnie 9 miesięcy. Powszechnie posługujemy się dwiema modlitwami, które upamiętniają moment Zwiastowania. Są to "Zdrowaś Maryjo" i "Anioł Pański".
