Confessions: Daily Monday to Saturday following the 7:00 am Mass. Saturday afternoons at 3:30 pm. Sacrament Of The Sick: Sick Calls or other Emergency Calls should be made to the rectory at any time. Arrangements can also be made for regular visitations at home or hospital for Holy Communion and/or Confession. We urge you to keep us aware of parishioners who are ill in the hospital or at home. Marriages: Please make arrangements at least one year in advance. Couples are urged to solemnize their vows at a Nuptial Mass. Baptisms: The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated each month on the First Sunday (in English) and on the Third Sunday (in Polish). A required Baptismal Program for Parents is conducted at 1:00 pm on the second Sunday of the month in Polish and on the last Sunday in English. There is a special red glass cover with an inscription created and the family may chose any particular Saint for their intention. Information sheets are found by the Divine Mercy Shrine entrance. Patronal Feast Day July 16, 2013 Our Triduum of Prayers to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel begins on July 13. On Saturday & Monday the devotions in Polish will follow the 8:00 AM and the 7:00 AM Mass on Sunday. English devotions will be at 6:00 PM on the 3 days leading up to the Feast Day. There will be a closing Mass on Tuesday, July 16 at 7:00 PM (During the Triduum, all the intentions submitted on the intention envelopes will be remembered.) Following the 7:00 PM Mass on Tuesday, July 16 there will be special devotions in honor of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Please join us as we honor our Patron: Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Możliwosć rezerwowania stolików od sierpnia. WYZNANIE WIARY - CREDO Jezus Chrystus wypowiadamy te słowa jak imię i nazwisko. Tymczasem to najkrótsze wyznanie wiary: Jezus jest Chrystusem, czytaj: syn Maryi z Nazaretu jest zapowiedzianym Mesjaszem, wysłańcem Boga, Zbawicielem. O Jezu!, Jezu Chryste! czy Jezus, Maria! ludzie często tak wołają. Kiedy coś zaboli, kiedy przychodzi zła wiadomość czy nieszczęście, kiedy puszczają nerwy, kiedy jakaś sytuacja przerasta człowieka. To brzmi jak wołanie o ratunek. Człowiek podświadomie wzywa kogoś silniejszego, zgodnie z zasadą jak trwoga, to do Boga. To normalna, zdrowa reakcja. Wzywanie imienia Jezus w tych trudnych, kryzysowych sytuacjach jest jakąś nieuświadomioną formą wyznania wiary w to, że Jezus jest zbawicielem. Słowo zbawić znaczy bowiem dokładnie: ocalić z nieszczęścia, uratować od śmierci, uwolnić od niebezpieczeństwa i tym samym zapewnić opiekę, pokój, życie, zwycięstwo. Imię Jezus oznacza w hebrajskim: Bóg zbawia. Kiedy popatrzymy na strukturę wyznania wiary, zauważymy, że w samym środku znajdują się słowa poświęcone Jezusowi Chrystusowi. Co więcej, to właśnie Jemu poświęcono najwięcej miejsca. Czy to przypadek? Nie! Słowa Wierzę w Jezusa Chrystusa, Syna Jego jedynego, Pana naszego są rzeczywiście centrum chrześcijańskiego wyznania wiary. To także samo serce Dobrej Nowiny Ewangelii, to główna prawda przekazywana w katechezie. Prawda, która jest jednocześnie Osobą, Wydarzeniem. Już św. Paweł mówił, że głoszenie Chrystusa wydaje się wielu głupstwem i skandalem. Dzisiaj jest dokładnie tak samo. Chrześcijaństwo głosi, że jedynie w Chrystusie jest zbawienie. Chrześcijaństwo to nie suma nauk, nakazów, instytucji czy struktur. To przede wszystkim Jezus Chrystus i wspólnota z Nim. Chrześcijaninem jest ten, kto wierzy w Jezusa Chrystusa, kto żyje z Niego i dla Niego. Kto patrzy na całą rzeczywistość w Jego świetle. Dlatego tak ważna jest świadomość tożsamości Jezusa: kim On jest? Kim jest dla mnie?
