SIOSTRA FAUSTYNA O NAJDROSZEJ KRWI PANA JEZUSA SISTER FAUSTINA ABOUT THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS 1602. Today the Lord said to me, Daughter, when you go to confession, to this fountain of My mercy, the Blood and Water which came forth from My Heart always flows down upon your soul and ennobles it. Every time you go to confession, immerse yourself entirely in My mercy, with great trust, so that I may pour the bounty of My grace upon your soul. When you approach the confessional, know this, that I Myself am waiting there for you Here the misery of the soul meets the God of mercy. Tell souls that from this fount of mercy souls draw graces solely with the vessel of trust. If their trust is great, there is no limit to My generosity 1747. God, You could have saved thousand of worlds with one word; a single sigh from Jesus would have satisfied Your justice. But You Yourself, Jesus, purely out of love for us, underwent such a terrible Passion. Your Father s justice would have been propitiated with a single sigh from You, and all Your self-abasement is solely the work of Your mercy and Your inconceivable love. On leaving the earth, O Lord, You wanted to stay with us, and so You left us Yourself in the Sacrament of the Altar, and You opened wide Your mercy to us. There is no misery that could exhaust You; You have called us all to this fountain of love, to this spring of God s compassion. Here is the tabernacle of Your mercy, here is the remedy for all our ills. To You, O living spring of mercy, all souls are drawn; some like deer, thirsting for Your love, others to wash the wound of their sins, and still others, exhausted by life, to draw strength. At the moment of Your death on the Cross, You bestowed upon us eternal life; allowing Your most holy side to be opened, You opened an inexhaustible spring of mercy for us, giving us Your dearest possession, the Blood and Water from Your Heart. 16 TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME JULY 21 ST, 2019 Who does not know about the great shrine of Ste. Anne de Beaupre in Canada, where miracles abound, where cured cripples leave their crutches, and where people come from thousands of miles to pray to the grandmother of Jesus? At one time, July 26 was the feast of St. Anne only, but with the new calendar the two feasts of the parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary have been joined and are celebrated on July 26th. Our information about Mary's parents comes from an apocryphal Christian writing, the Protoevangelium Jacobi (or Gospel of James), written about the year 170. According to this story, Joachim was a prominent and respected man who had no children, and he and his wife, Anne, looked upon this as a punishment from God. In answer to their prayers, Mary was born and was dedicated to God at a very early age. From this early Christian writing have come several of the feast days of Mary, particularly the Immaculate Conception, the Nativity of Mary, and her Assumption into Heaven. Very early also came feast days in honor of SS. Joachim and Anne, and in the Middle Ages numerous churches, chapels, and confraternities were dedicated to St. Anne. The couple early became models of Christian marriage, and their meeting at the Golden Gate in Jerusalem has been a favorite subject of Christian artists. Anne is often shown in paintings with Jesus and Mary and is considered a subject that attracts attention, since Anne is the grandmother of Jesus. Her two great shrines that of Ste. Anne d'auray in Britanny, France, and that of Ste. Anne de Beaupre near Quebec in Canada are very popular. We know little else about the lives of Mary's parents, but considering the person of Mary, they must have been two very remarkable people to have been given such a daughter and to have played so important a part in the work of the Redemption. There is a church of St. Anne in Jerusalem and it is believed to be built on the site of the home of SS. Joachim and Anne, when they lived in Jerusalem. Wynika to z faktu, że ich kult w Polsce jest dość rozpowszechniony. Zapewne powodem tego jest nasze, pełne sentymentu, podejście do kobiecej części rodu Jezusa. Kochamy mocno Najświętszą Maryję Pannę i swą miłość przelewamy również na Jej matkę - św. Annę. Dlatego liturgiczne wspomnienie św. Anny i św. Joachima cieszy się u nas tak dużymi względami. Współcześnie czcimy rodziców Maryi wspólnie, choć początkowo przeważał kult św. Anny. Przywędrował on do Polski już w XIV wieku, kiedy Stolica Apostolska ustaliła datę święta na 26 lipca. Zawsze wyjątkową czcią otaczano babcię Jezusa na Śląsku. Do dziś największej czci doznaje ona na Górze św. Anny k. Opola, gdzie znajduje się cudowna figura tej Świętej. Przedstawia ona św. Annę piastującą dwoje dzieci: Maryję i Jezusa, dlatego powszechnie jest nazywana Świętą Anną Samotrzecią - co można tłumaczyć we troje razem. O św. Joachimie i św. Annie nie wiemy jednak za dużo. Pismo Święte o nich nie wspomina. Trochę więcej światła na te postaci rzuca jeden z apokryfów Protoewangelia Jakuba z końca II wieku. Z niego właśnie dowiadujemy się o imionach dziadków Jezusa. Wiemy też, że byli oni długo bezdzietni. Dopiero wytrwała modlitwa Joachima przez czterdzieści dni na pustyni wyjednała łaskę u Boga. Dar dany im w podeszłym wieku został przepowiedziany przez anioła, który określił mającą się narodzić córkę jako radość ziemi. Zapewne św. Joachim i św. Anna byli dobrymi rodzicami, czego bezdyskusyjnym przykładem jest Maryja. Właśnie Ona przyjęła w pokorze Boże wybranie, spełniając Jego wolę wobec siebie. Podkreślił to sługa Boży Jan Paweł II 21 czerwca 1983 r. właśnie na Górze św. Anny, kiedy powiedział, że: Syn Boży stał się człowiekiem dlatego, że Maryja stała się Jego Matką. W wielkiej mierze Maryja mogła stać się Matką Zbawiciela dzięki dobremu wychowaniu, które otrzymała w domu rodzinnym. Warto więc postawić pytanie: Czy my potrafimy wyciągnąć z tego właściwe wnioski dla nas samych? Trzeba nam pytać o styl wychowywania naszych pociech. Z niego wynika ich stosunek do sacrum, do świata Bożych planów wobec każdego z naszych dzieci. Św. Joachim i św. Anna na pewno mieli świadomość tego, że ich obowiązkiem jest dobre przygotowanie Maryi do wypełnienia zadań, które Bóg przed Nią postawił.

THE NEW ALTAR and IMPROVEMENTS IN OUR SHRINE Plans are underway for the new altar at our shrine. The Shrine has been blessed by the financial support from many donors. An amount of $60,000 has been raised to cover the cost of the altar. We also received a donation to cover the cost of the two images on either side of the altar. Currently the altar is being constructed in Poland and it will be sent here by ship. There s also an HVAC system in our plans to make the upper church more comfortable and also to fight with moisture in the upper church. We are also thinking about an elevator/lift to make our upper church available for everyone where the main altar with all the relics will be installed. We want it to be available for everyone so the next step is to make handicap bathrooms accessible. In the meantime, there is work to be done in preparation for the new altar. The masonry outside the church has been repaired as well as several small roof leaks. New gutters have been installed on the rectory. The inside walls behind the altar have been sealed and painted. The presbytery will have to be painted before the altar is installed. These repairs and renovations are costly and we need to raise funds for this purpose. You may also notice new insulated windows in the assembly room and the upper sacristy. These are a great improvement which will save on heating and cooling costs. There is also new fencing in front of the church. We are also in the process of looking to reopen our school building. This is a daunting task as the building needs major renovations. There are many men in the shrine community who have offered their time and skills to complete these projects. We would only have to pay for materials. In order to have heat and water in the school the pipes need to be repaired. The Archdiocese will cover this cost through insurance; however, we must have the asbestos covering the pipes removed. Asbestos removal is also necessary on the boiler and in the cafeteria. The second collections are presently held for this reason. I am grateful to those who, through spiritual and physical help, engage in the development of our church and school buildings. We wish to have the shrine attract many people who will find spiritual fulfillment and become disciples sharing the word of Christ to others.
