CCHD was founded 40 years ago by the bishops of the United States when they realized that the lives of those in need would not improve until the systems and policies that keep people in poverty were changed. For 40 years, CCHD has funded community groups that seek justice and create lasting change. Fight poverty in America. Defend human dignity. Give to the CCHD Collection. This year the St. Agnes medal was awarded to Pedro Collado & Flérida Hernández. Pedro and Flérida have been an important part of our parish since 2008. Pedro is the coordinator of our Spanish Children's Choir, he oversees the music for the Spanish masses, he is one of the charismatic leaders for our Spanish Prayer group and also volunteers at our annual feast. Flérida is a lector at the Spanish masses, she assists with the Spanish Children's choir and also volunteers at our annual feast.
