Our Parish School: We are part of an excellent co-sponsored elementary school: All Saints Academy. For information call: 201-443-8384 Religious Education For Children: CCD classes are held every Sunday from September through April at 9:15 am. Classes are conducted in our school building. Confessions: Daily Monday to Saturday following the 7:00 am Mass. Saturday afternoons at 3:30 pm. Sacrament Of The Sick: Sick Calls or other Emergency Calls should be made to the rectory at any time. Arrangements can also be made for regular visitations at home or hospital for Holy Communion and/or Confession. We urge you to keep us aware of parishioners who are ill in the hospital or at home. Marriages: Please make arrangements at least one year in advance. Couples are urged to solemnize their vows at a Nuptial Mass. Baptisms: The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated each month on the First Sunday (in English) and on the Third Sunday (in Polish). A required Baptismal Program for Parents is conducted at 1:00 pm on the second Sunday of the month in Polish and on the last Sunday in English. Novenas: Every Tuesday Evening to Saint Anne following the 7:00 pm Mass. Every Thursday Evening to Divine Mercy following the 7:00 pm Mass. The Boy Scouts food drive is Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011. Please place your donated food items (Please no perishable items!) in a bag and place them before 7:00 AM on your front steps in plain view from the sidewalk. The scouts will pick up the groceries from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon that day. You may also bring your food items to our Parish Center on that day only from 9 AM to 12:00PM. (Please do not bring them to church at any time.) As Winter approaches, we at OLMC will again try to help alleviate some of the suffering of our homeless. November is a month of Remembrance If you would like to leave a liturgical item in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in remembrance of a loved one, we have several items available. Godzinki o Niepokalanym Poczęciu Najświętszej Maryi Panny Podobnie jak w biblijnym poemacie miłosnym, często tu cytowanej Pieśni nad Pieśniami, tak samo i tutaj pod postacią Oblubienicy od czasów średniowiecza dostrzegano Maryję. Królem Oblubieńcem jest Chrystus, przy Nim Królowa- Matka. Stąd też cała seria wezwań do Maryi Królowej, jaką znamy z litanii loretańskiej. Pozostając w podniosłym weselnym nastroju, poeta sięgnie na zakończenie Komplety, w zawołaniu: Jako olej wylany o Maryjo imię Twoje jeszcze raz do Pieśni nad Pieśniami, gdzie też się znajdują podobne słowa: Woń twych pachnideł słodka, olejek rozlany imię twe Pnp 1,3. Choć wylany olej kojarzy się nam raczej z plamą, w Godzinkach chodzi o wonny olej terebintu czy nardu, który rozsiewał piękną woń i był stosowany w specjalnych uroczystych okolicznościach. Można tu przypomnieć choćby opisany przez św. Marka ewangelistę epizod, gdy pewna kobieta przyszła do Chrystusa z alabastrowym flakonikiem prawdziwego olejku nardowego, bardzo drogiego. Rozbiła flakonik i wylała Mu olejek na głowę. A niektórzy oburzyli się, mówiąc między sobą: Po co to marnowanie olejku? Wszak można było olejek ten sprzedać drożej niż za trzysta denarów i rozdać ubogim. I przeciw niej szemrali Mk 14, 3-5. Niewątpliwie, najtrudniejszy i wymagający wyjaśnień jest ostatni dwuwiersz hymnu na Kompletę. Na dodatek, interpretacja tego fragmentu w znacznym stopniu zależy od tego, w którym miejscu postawi się znaki interpunkcyjne. Według wersji, jaka widnieje w książeczce do nabożeństwa z roku 1895, brzmiało to tak: Bramo rajska! Niemocnych zdrowie! W Twej obronie niech Boga oglądamy na górnym Syjonie. Określenie Maryi mianem Bramy Rajskiej pojawiło się już wcześniej w Godzinkach, w hymnie na Tercję i jest łatwo zrozumiałe: przez wstawiennictwo Matki Jezusa prowadzi dla każdego droga do Raju. Niemocnych zdrowie, podobnie jak Uzdrowienie chorych z litanii loretańskiej też nawiązuje do wiary, że wstawiennictwo Maryi może przynieść cud odzyskania zdrowia; jak bardzo ta wiara jest uzasadniona, mogą świadczyć niezliczona wota dziękczynne pozostawione przy Jej wizerunkach. Ostatni wiersz świadczy, że liczymy na ostateczne spotkanie z Bogiem ufni w opiekę Świętej Bożej Rodzicielki, pod Której obronę się uciekamy.
