Jana Pawła II. 16 października czterdziesta rocznica powołania Karola Wojtyłę na Stolicę Apostolską. 22 października wspominamy go w liturgii dnia. Jan Paweł II został uznany orędownikiem rodzin. Dobrze, abyśmy za jego przewodnicywem upraszali łaski dla naszych rodzin, będąc świadomi jego słów: Miłość i życie - oto jest wasze powołanie, drodzy bracia i siostry, wasze powołanie, drogie rodziny. To jest wasze powołanie, które przechodzi przez wszystkie pokolenia, poczynając od przodków, dziadków, aż po wnuków i prawnuków - przez całą rodzinę pokoleń. W jednej rodzinie dokonuje się ta pielgrzymka pokoleń przez ziemskie życie, której celem jest dom Ojca (...) Jesteśmy bowiem przekonani, że bez instytucji rodziny społeczeństwo nie może się rozwijać, a to z tego prostego powodu, że rodzi się ono w rodzinie i z niej czerpie swą spójność. Wobec procesu degradacji kulturowej i społecznej oraz szerzących się plag, takich jak przemoc, narkomania, zorganizowana przestępczość - któż może bardziej przyczynić się do zapobiegania im i odrodzenia, niż rodzina zjednoczona, zdrowa i zaangażowana społecznie? Takie rodziny kształtują społeczne cnoty solidarności, gościnności, lojalności, szacunku dla drugiego człowieka i jego godności. Św. Jan Paweł II wskazując na piękno, jakim są rodziny, pokazuje wielką odpowiedzialność, która ciąży na naszych rodzinach. Nie są one jednak pozostawione samotnie. Św. Jan Paweł II, nauczając o rodzinach, równiez chętnie je wspomagał i czyni to nadal w domu Ojca. Utraciwszy wcześnie matkę sam wie, jak wielka jest rola pobożnych rodziców w rodzinie, jak wielka jest rola spójnej rodziny, poczucia wzajemnej miłości, oazy spokoju i akceptacji oraz rozwoju człowieczeństwa. Może warto również za przykładem świętego patrona naszego sanktuarium modlić się na różańcu za nasze rodziny, jak i prowadzić rozwój humanistyczny, aby świadomość, intelekt i wzajemna miłość pomagały nam we wzajemnym rozwoju, aby nasze rodziny były Bogiem silne! Ks. Robert Będziński OCTOBER 21 ST, 2018 Praised be The Lord Jesus Christ! During this time, we experience remarkable dates regarding the patron saint of our Sanctuary of St. John Paul II. On October 16th, we have the fortieth anniversary of Karol Wojtyła's appointment to the Holy See. On October 22nd, we remember him in the liturgy of the day. John Paul II was recognized as a patron of families. It is good that we follow with his guide the grace for our families, being aware of his words: "Love and life - this is your calling, dear brothers and sisters, your calling, dear families. This is your calling that goes through all generations, from ancestors, grandparents, to grandchildren and great-grandchildren - for the whole family of generations. In one family, this pilgrimage of generations is carried out through earthly life, the aim of which is the Father's house (...) We are convinced that without the institution of the family society cannot develop, and for the simple reason that it is born in a family and it draws its coherence. In the face of the process of cultural and social degradation and the spreading of plagues, such as violence, drug addiction, organized crime - who can contribute more to their prevention and rebirth than a united, healthy and socially involved family? Such families shape the social virtues of solidarity, hospitality, loyalty, respect for other people and their dignity. "Saint John Paul II, pointing to the beauty of families, shows the great responsibility that weighs on our families. They are not left alone. St. John Paul II, teaching about families, also willingly assisted them and continues to do so in the presence of the "Father's house". Having lost his mother early, he knows how great is the role of pious parents in the family, how great the role of a cohesive family, the sense of mutual love, the "oasis" of peace and acceptance and the development of humanity. Perhaps it is also worth following the example of the patron saint of our sanctuary to pray on the rosary for our families, and to lead humanistic development, so that our consciousness, intellect and mutual love will help us to develop our families so that our families will be strong with the presence of God! Ordained a priest in 1946, he earned doctorates in theology and philosophy and held the Chair of Ethics at the Catholic University of Lublin. + In 1958, he was ordained bishop of Ombi and, in 1963, appointed archbishop of Krakow. As bishop, he took part in the Second Vatican Council. + Elected pope on October 16, 1978, he took the name John Paul II. + One of the most influential people of the 20th century, he was a vocal opponent of communism and the culture of death. + A pastor for the world, he traveled to more than 100 countries during his 26-year pontificate, preaching the universal call to holiness of the Second Vatican Council and calling for a new evangelization of the Church. + After years of suffering debilitating disease, John Paul II died on April 2, 2005, and was canonized with Pope Saint John XXIII in 2014. (from The Roman Missal) Organized by the Society of the Propagation of the Faith, this is a day set aside for Catholics worldwide to recommit themselves to the Church s missionary activity through prayer and sacrifice. Every year the needs of the Catholic Church in the Missions grow as new dioceses are formed, as new seminaries are opened because of the growing number of young men hearing Christ s call to follow Him as priests, as areas devastated by war or natural disaster are rebuilt, and as other areas, long suppressed, are opening up to hear the message of Christ and His Church. That is why the involvement and commitment of Catholics from around the world are so urgently needed. Offerings from Catholics in the United States, on World Mission Sunday and throughout the year, are combined with offerings to the Propagation of the Faith worldwide. In addition, these mission dioceses submit requests to the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples for assistance, among other needs, for catechetical programs, seminaries, the work of Religious Communities, for communication and transportation needs, and for the building of chapels, churches, orphanages and schools. Annually, World Mission Sunday is celebrated on the next-to-last Sunday in October. As described by Pope Saint John Paul II, World Mission Sunday is an important day in the life of the Church because it teaches how to give: as an offering made to God, in the Eucharistic celebration and for all the missions of the world (Redemptoris Missio 81). The theme for World Mission Sunday 2018 is: Together with young people, let us be Voices for Mission. Pope Francis addresses his message for this year s celebration to young people, saying, In speaking to you, I also address all Christians who live out in the Church the adventure of their life as children of God. THE NEW ALTAR IN OUR SHRINE Dreams and plans for a new altar for our shrine have begun to be finalized. Within a short time, we were able to raise $ 40,000. Before we set up our altar, however, we must: seal the holes in the masonry outside, remove the fungal spots at the presbytery and paint the walls by the presbytery.
