Niech będzie pochwalony Jezus Chrystus! Dzisiaj przeżywamy szczególnie obecność Matki w naszym życiu i to Matki Różańcowej. Co by to miało oznaczać? Nie dajmy sobie wydrzeć go z rąk. Pisze on tak: Zapowiedź tajemnicy (RVM 29). (List Apostolski Rosarium Virginis Mariae) Ks. Robert Będziński Praised be the Lord Jesus Christ! OCTOBER 6 TH, 2019 Today, we particularly celebrate the presence of the Rosary Mother. What would that mean? Probably that we could approach her through the rosary? We speak her language and, above all, taking lessons from the life of our Mother, we become like her. Mother wraps us in the mysteries of the Rosary, making them like a lifebuoy, leading us to intimacy with her and keeping us on the right path to Heaven. Mother who gives us a rosary. Why not use it? Let's not get it out of our hands. There is a Rosary Sodality in our church, gathering people who pray for the intentions of our temple. Maybe you would like to join, it's just a decade of the rosary, and it does so much. In October I will want to give "instructions" on how to pray the rosary, following the example of Saint. John Paul II. He writes this: Announcing the secret 29. Announcing the secret and, if possible, simultaneously showing the icon depicting it, it is like revealing the scene on which to focus attention. Words direct imagination and spirit towards this particular event or moment of Christ's life. In a spirituality that developed in the Church, be it icon worship or numerous services rich in elements perceived by the senses, as well as the method proposed by Saint Ignacy of Loyola. In the Clergy Exercises he referred to the visual and visual element (compositio loci), considering them very helpful in focusing the spirit on the mystery. It is, moreover, a methodology that corresponds to the very logic of the Incarnation: God wanted to take on Jesus' human features. It is through his physical reality that we are brought into contact with his divine mystery. Announcing the individual mysteries of the Rosary also meets this need for specificity. Of course, they do not replace the Gospel or even refer to everything it contains. Therefore, the rosary does not replace lectio divina, but on the contrary, it presupposes and facilitates it. However, if the mysteries considered in the rosary, even supplemented with mysteria lucis, are limited only to the basic lines of Christ's life, then it is easy to go to the other contents of the Gospel, especially when the rosary is said in special moments of prolonged recollection. Listening to the Word of God 30. To give meditation biblical basis and greater depth, it is good, after announcing the mystery, to read the relevant biblical text, which, depending on the circumstances, may be shorter or longer. Other words are never as effective as the inspired Word. One should listen to it, being sure that it is the Word of God, spoken for today and "for me". Adopted in this way, it enters the rosary methodology of repetition, without causing the fatigue that would be caused by mere repetition of information already learned. It is not about recalling information, but about letting God speak. On certain solemn communal occasions, the word may be appropriately explained by a brief commentary. RESPECT LIFE SUNDAY "It is impossible to further the common good without acknowledging and defending the right to life, upon which all the other inalienable rights of individuals are founded and from which they develop." - Pope John Paul II - The Gospel of Life - Respect Life Month is observed annually in October. This year's theme: "Christ Our Hope In Every Season of Life " Each October, the Catholic Church in the United States celebrates Respect Life Month to proclaim the immeasurable value of every person from conception to natural death. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops assists parishes, schools and other Catholic ministries by creating resources to help people "understand, value and become engaged with supporting the God-given dignity of every person which naturally leads to protecting the gift of every person's life" through its Respect Life Program. It kicks off on Respect Life Sunday, which this year is October 7. In the 30+ years since that immoral (and many believe, unconstitutional) decision, the right to life for the unborn has faced particularly vicious attacks. The push for abortion rights has gone further and further, and we now live in a time when fighting back against the abortion agenda and the culture of death is especially crucial. Incidentally, the month of October is also the month of the rosary! And it is only through the Blessed Virgin Mary s help that our culture will renew its recognition of the sanctity of all human life. Heavenly Father, the beauty and dignity of human life was the crowning of your creation. You further ennobled that life when your Son became one with us in his incarnation. Help us to realize the sacredness of human life and to respect it from the moment of conception until the last moment at death. Give us courage to speak with truth and love and with conviction in defense of life. Help us to extend the gentle hand of mercy and forgiveness to those who do not reverence your gift of life. To all, grant pardon for the times we have failed to be grateful for your precious gift of life or to respect it in others. We ask this in Jesus' Name. Amen. O rozwój naszego sanktuarium i budynku szkolnego. 2. za wszystkich członków różańca świętego o opiekę Matki Bożej. 3. O owoce podejmowanej modlitwy różańcowej w październiku. 4. O poszanowanie życia od naturalnego poczęcia do naturalnej śmierci. 5. O Boże błogosławieństwo i opiekę Matki Bożej dla turystów, przyjeżdzających do Salem. LIVING ROSARY APOSTOLATE The Living Rosary is a group of 20 people who commit to pray and meditate on One Mystery of the Holy Rosary every day for a month. Each member is assigned a different decade from which to start. Together, they pray the entire rosary united in their prayer intentions. Every First Sunday of the month, each member of the Group will start on the next Mystery. The purpose of the Living Rosary - appease the wrath of God on the sinful world through the intercession of the Mother of God; pray for God`s blessing for the Church and evangelization; and spreading the faith, to restore and strengthen faith in the hearts of the people and sustain the conversion of sinners. The intentions of a Living Rosary for the month of October The Pope s monthly intention That the breath of the Holy Spirit engenders a new missionary "spring" in the Church. Parish/ Local intentions: (given every month by the priest leading the Living Rosary Group). 1. For the development of our sanctuary and school building. 2. For all members of the Holy Rosary - for the protection of the Mother of God. 3. For the fruits of the Rosary prayer in October. 4. Respect for life from natural conception to natural death. 5. For God s blessings upon the tourists coming to Salem. OCTOBER 6 TH, 2018 The Fifteen Promises of Mary granted to those who recite the Rosary (Given to St. Dominic and Blessed Alan de la Roche - 1613 A.D.) The Blessed Virgin Mary promised to Saint Dominic and to all who follow that: "Whatever you ask in the Rosary will be granted." She left for all Christians Fifteen Promises to those who recite the Holy Rosary. 1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall receive signal graces. 2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary. 3. The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies. 4. The Rosary will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire for eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means. 5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall not perish. 6. Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he be just, he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life. 7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church. 8. Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plentitude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the saints in paradise. 9. I shall deliver from Purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary. 10. The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in Heaven. 11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary. 12. All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities. 13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death. 14. All who recite the Rosary are my sons and daughters, and brothers and sisters of my only Son Jesus Christ. 15. Devotion of my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.

THE NEW ALTAR and IMPROVEMENTS IN OUR SHRINE Plans are underway for the new altar at our shrine. The Shrine has been blessed by the financial support from many donors. An amount of $60,000 has been raised to cover the cost of the altar. We also received a donation to cover the cost of the two images on either side of the altar. Currently the altar is being constructed in Poland and it will be sent here by ship. There s also an HVAC system in our plans to make the upper church more comfortable and also to fight with moisture in the upper church. We are also thinking about an elevator/lift to make our upper church available for everyone where the main altar with all the relics will be installed. We want it to be available for everyone so the next step is to make handicap bathrooms accessible. We are also in the process of looking to reopen our school building. This is a daunting task as the building needs major renovations. There are many men in the shrine community who have offered their time and skills to complete these projects. We would only have to pay for materials. In order to have heat and water in the school the pipes need to be repaired. The Archdiocese will cover this cost through insurance; however, we must have the asbestos covering the pipes removed. Asbestos removal is also necessary on the boiler and in the cafeteria. The second collections are presently held for this reason. I am grateful to those who, through spiritual and physical help, engage in the development of our church and school buildings. We wish to have the shrine attract many people who will find spiritual fulfillment and become disciples sharing the word of Christ to others. Thank you again for your kindness, prayers and financial support. May God bless you all. Please contact: Rector of the Shrine, Fr.
