The practical solutions for traffic control at single-track sections have been described. Compatibility of those solutions with current legislation has been analyzed. , W Maszyn Roboczych i Transportu IDENTYFIKACJA W DOMENACH ANALIZ SYSTEMU KOLEJOWEGO, Streszczenie: temu kolejowego Unii Europejskiej utrzymywanie ryzyka wszystkich za-, amach tego procesu, ale których nie prz domenom go wskazania m pewnych rodzajów rozumowania (indukcyjnego i obdukcyjnego tym zdefiniowano i przedstawiono odpowiednie sposoby jego realizacji. proces identyfikacji HAZARD IDENTIFICATION FOR THE ANALYSIS DOMAINS IN RAILWAY SYSTEM Summary: According to the regulations (CSM documents) the rail company, infrastructure administrator and each railway entity that makes changes in railway system, is responsible to keep the acceptable risk value of all hazards identified in the system. To achieve this, CSM provides for implementation of the risk management process. General indications as to conduct this process can be found in the annex to the CSM document (regulation 402/2013). They do not differ from the classic approaches to risk management. The key is the correct implementation of the procedures that must be implemented as part of this process, but which does not present (or even listed) in the regulations in detail. In this article we present therefore the basics for realizing the hazard identification dedicated domains in the rail system, including: identification of hazard sources, grouping hazard sources, formulating the hazard and the preliminary indication of the size of the loss/damage that may arise as a result of the activation of the hazard. The result of these procedures is list of hazard sources and a list of identified hazard, among others. The hazard identification process is a reflection of certain types of reasoning (inductive and abductive) and therefore we defined and shown the correct ways of its realization. WYBRANE PROBLEMY SYGNALIZACJI STOSOWANEJ NA POLSKICH KOLEJACH, 2016 Streszczenie: wywanych linii i sta- projektowanie, sygnalizacja, sterowanie ruchem kolejowym SELECTED PROBLEMS OF SIGNALING USED ON POLISH RAILWAYS Summary: The article is concerned with the analysis of law regulations and instructions of the national railway infrastructure manager related to the devices and railway traffic control systems designing. Authors analyzed and evaluated examples of unusual design solutions on the modernized railway lines and stations modeled on existing solutions. As a result of carried analysis of the national rules, authors proposed solutions intended for use in some aspects of the lines and stations designing. These solutions require modifications (detailing) of law regulations and railway infrastructure manager instructions to allow their unambiguous interpretation. -Brzozowska, BARIERY STOSOWANIA TECHNOLOGII ODZYSKU ENERGII W TRANSPORCIE SZYNOWYM, Streszczenie: energii w akumulowania rekuperowanej energii w zasobnikach stacjonarnych oraz tych zainstalowanych w opracowania przeanaliz zarówno do upowszechnienia stosowania odzysku energii w procesie hamowania, jak i ich zdaniem transport szynowy, odzysk energii, pojazdy autonomiczne OBSTACLES FOR THE USE OF ENERGY RECUPERATION TECHNOLOGY IN RAILWAYS Summary:At the beginning of the article an overview of existing technologies for energy recovery from braking and the possibility of its use was presented. The possibility of storing energy in stationary and onboard storage devices and the possibility of power transmission to the national electricity grid as well as its direct use by other trains located on the network was discussed. The main part contains the analysis of the boundaries for implementation of particular solutions. The main obstructing or preclusive obstacles for using described technologies were listed. Due to existing problems the paper proposes the solutions that might both contribute to the promotion of the use of recuperation energy as well as increase efficiency in the use of this technology. In conclusion the authors compared the presented technologies and solutions proposed and selected in their opinion the most effective ones, both technically and economically. In the work the full module functional structure has been presented together with the diagram of information flow in the system. Special attention has been paid to the usage of computer technology in the scope of transit network modeling, time table planning, vehicle and duty scheduling, roster design, daily dispatching, settlement of transport operational costs as well as statistics and reporting. In proposed solution the work course of battery is plotted based on operating current. The method assumes possibility of work simulation of whole package by graduation of simulation result of one cell that battery is composed of. The authors present ways of acquiring workload characteristics of battery during work cycle of vehicle, divided into: measurements run on actual vehicles, simulations based on physical models, simulations using actual ride data of other type vehicle such as: velocity, acceleration, GPS coordinates and juxtaposed with them average values for also acquired with measurements data concerning relationship between battery workload and work conditions, simulations based on prognosis of demand with help of summing total power of receivers used in the vehicle in function of time and assumed operating characteristic of the drive. Article presents exemplary operating characteristics of battery in REP-SAIL project developed based on projected data for yacht usage in three cases: moorage, cruise using the engine and cruise using sails. Anna Kwasiborska Warsaw University of Technology THE PROBLEM OF SEQUENCING LANDING AIRCRAFT Manuscript delivered: December 2016 Abstract: Planning of aircraft traffic in airspace has a great impact on flight safety and costs related to air transport. Improper air traffic planning causes unnecessary delays, which not only discourage passengers from using services of a given air carrier, but also significantly increases fuel costs. This article aims to consider aspect of air traffic optimization in approach area in proximity of an airport. Initially, real problem of landing sequencing will be presented. Next, approach procedure modelling will be defined, so it is as close to real approach procedure as possible. The landing aircraft sequencing problem was solved with created integer model. It allows to combine the setting of landing sequence with geometric carrying of flights. However, when compared to existing papers, this article will focus not only on aircraft sequencing, but also will include its implementation. Such approach makes it possible to follow safety standards required during aircraft landing approach. Objective function is presented to find the best solution to the problem under consideration. The main goal is to collect a set of important factors, which will be helpful in planning of operation research. The boundary conditions of tramway operation and maintenance change for different cities in Poland. In the Wroclaw City case, the newest wheel profile PST is nor used, as consequence of studies were made ten years ago. In later, processes occurring in the operation and maintenance of tram vehicles were identified. Also influencing factors due to each process phase were described. Then a concept of operation research for a new rolling profile of wheels was introduced. The paper ends with a summary and further research perspectives. Poznan University of Technology, Faculty of Machines and Transport OCENA EMISJI SPALIN POJAZDÓW KATEGORII EURO 6 W TESTACH DROGOWYCH, lipiec 2016 Streszczenie: opracowaniem nowych procedur, który w rzeczywistych warunkach ruchu (RDE Real Driving Emission W artykule porównano wyniki emisji spalin uzyskiwane w testach drogowych z wykorzystaniem wyniki przedstawiono w odniesieniu do metod pomiarowych: metoda klasyczna wych pomiarowych (MAV moving average windows WLTC) i na ich podstawie wyznacza metoda kategoryzacji mocy (Power Binning), zwana w literaturze jako CLEAR Classification of Emissions from Automobiles in Real driving na podstawie kategoryzacji mocy podczas testu RDE. emisja spalin, samochody osobowe, testy drogowe EVALUATION OF EURO 6 CATEGORY VEHICLES EMISSION IN ROAD TESTS Summary: New test procedures for determining exhaust emission from passenger vehicles will be introduced in 2017. For several years, the European Commission has been developing new procedures, which aim is to perform tests in road conditions. The purpose is to determine the real value of emissions, which are not always reflected by the level of emissions obtained in the laboratory. Proper and accurate procedures for determining emissions in real traffic conditions (RDE Real Driving Emission) have not yet been approved (as opposed to Heavy-Duty Vehicles for which such conditions already exist), but there are proposals that are currently being analyzed by major research centers in Europe. There are many differences between those proposals such as determining road emission or research methodology related to emission measurement of hydrocarbons. The work compares the results of emissions measured in road tests using the latest legislative proposals related to passenger cars. The results are shown in relation to the used measurement method: classic method of determining exhaust emission; uses all measurement data determining the mass of harmful compounds and distance traveled during the test; method of averaging the measuring windows (MAV moving average windows), also in the literature called EMROAD method, which determines the measurement windows (on the basis of carbon dioxide emissions from the WLTC test) and on its basis determines the road emission in RDE test; generalized method of instantaneous power (Power Binning), known in the literature as CLEAR Classification of Emissions from Automobiles in Real driving, determines road emissions on the basis of generalized instantaneous power during the RDE test. , Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Transport Military University of Technology, Faculty of Electronic RAILCAR PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEMS OPERATION WITH REGARD TO ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE Manuscript delivered: October 2016 Summary: In this paper, the issues related to operation of railcar public address systems, which are used in rail transport, were presented. They constitute devices included in the transport telematics systems. Their aim is to ensure an appropriate level of information service for passengers by the voice information messaging. They are operated under different conditions of their present electromagnetic environment. The intended or unintended (static and mobile) electromagnetic interference, which occurs within the vast railway area, can be a cause of their functioning interference. Therefore, the proper functioning of railcar public address systems in the electromagnetic environment, which is included within the railway area, is so essential. Shown elements of the railway network. Indicated area of the railway station as one of the most important points from the point of view of the traffic management for the purpose of reducing the energy consumption taking into account the recuperation. Next, made a reference to the literature solutions based on controlling the stopping times at stations and control the running time as a tool to maximize the using of recovery energy. At the end indicated some constraints, fulfillment of which is necessary during the (re)organization of railway traffic within the station (including schedules) to achieve real savings. Model numeryczny oraz badanie eksperymentalne pól temperatury podczas hamowania 201 NUMERICAL MODEL AND EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF TEMPERATURE FIELDS IN CONTINUOUS BRAKE APPLICATION OF RAILWAY WHEEL-COMPOSITE BRAKE SHOE FRICTION PAIR Summary: The paper presents numerical model used to calculate temperature distribution in the friction pair during continuous application of railway tread brake. Calculated and measured temperature values are compared. The temperature was measured during the test performed on a full-scale dynamometer by thermocouples located under the surface of the wheel tread. For the purpose of numerical simulation, a threedimensional model of railway wheel and composite brake shoe was created using finite element method. The coefficient of friction between the wheel and composite brake shoe as well as braking power, which were introduced to the analysis, were determined in the course of the tests conducted on a full-scale dynamometer. The model accounts for the fact that the coefficient of friction is not constant throughout the brake application and is temperature-dependent. Temperature distribution on the surface of the friction pair at the end of brake application is presented. Temperature changes in the course of the entire brake application are shown on graphs for selected points below the wheel tread. The results of numerical analysis show good agreement with the results obtained by experimental tests. The results of simulation presented in this paper concern one of possible railway tread brake configurations. Model created for this study may be modified in the future to investigate the temperature distribution in different configurations of railway tread brake.
