Many people would like to have their loved ones remembered at Christmas Midnight Mass. We have a beautiful custom at Mt. Carmel: Open listing of Intentions at Midnight Mass. You have a special envelope in your envelope package for this purpose. Please just write the names of your loved ones on the special green (Christmas Vigil Mass) envelope and they and your personal intentions will be placed at the feet of Baby Jesus in the church Nativity Scene. You may place the envelopes in any collection or mail them to the Parish Office. GIVING TREE You are invited to share the spirit of Christmas by giving new, unwrapped Christmas gifts for children and adults of all ages which will be donated to the family of our Parish St. John Paul II. Drop off gifts by Dec. 13. If you are in need or know someone in need of a Christmas gift please contact the rectory at 201-339-2070 by Dec. 3. The Bouquets of flowers of the Main Altar November 25, 2018 Were donated: 1. In Loving Memory of Stanley Toczynski ( Wife, Children and Grandchildren) The Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe Formerly referred to as "Christ the King," was established by Pope Pius XI in 1925 as an antidote to secularism, a way of life which leaves God out of man's thinking and living and organizes his life as if God did not exist. The feast is intended to proclaim in a striking and effective manner Christ's royalty over individuals, families, society, governments, and nations. Today's Mass establishes the titles for Christ's royalty over men: 1) Christ is God, the Creator of the universe and hence wields a supreme power over all things; "All things were created by Him"2) Christ is our Redeemer, He purchased us by His precious Blood, and made us His property and possession; 3) Christ is Head of the Church, "holding in all things the primacy"; 4) God bestowed upon Christ the nations of the world as His special possession and dominion. Today's Mass also describes the qualities of Christ's kingdom. This kingdom is: 1) supreme, extending not only to all people but also to their princes and kings; 2) universal, extending to all nations and to all places; 3) eternal, for "The Lord shall sit a King forever"; 4) spiritual, Christ's "kingdom is not of this world." November 30 th - Saint Andrew, Apostle Andrew was Saint Peter s brother, and was called with him. As [Jesus] was walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is now called Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea; they were fishermen. He said to them, Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men. At once they left their nets and followed him (Matthew 4:18-20). John the Evangelist presents Andrew as a disciple of John the Baptist. When Jesus walked by one day, John said, Behold, the Lamb of God. Andrew and another disciple followed Jesus. Jesus turned and saw them following him and said to them, What are you looking for? They said to him, Rabbi (which translated means Teacher), where are you staying? He said to them, Come, and you will see. So they went and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day (John 1:38-39a). Little else is said about Andrew in the Gospels. Before the multiplication of the loaves, it was Andrew who spoke up about the boy who had the barley loaves and fishes. When the Gentiles went to see Jesus, they came to Philip, but Philip then had recourse to Andrew. Legend has it that Andrew preached the Good News in what is now modern Greece and Turkey and was crucified at Patras on an X-shaped cross.

Uroczystość Jezusa Chrystusa Króla Wrzechświata Our Parish's annual Eucharistic Days (40 hours) take place in November 23 25. The closing ceremony will be Sunday, November 25 at 4:00 PM Main Celebrant The Most Reverend Manuel A. Cruz Vespers and Benediction. There are many hours available for Eucharistic Adoration. In particular, we will have all night Adoration: Friday night from 8:00 PM until Saturday 7:15 AM. Saturday from 9 AM 4:45 PM Saturday: 6:00 PM until next day Sunday: 12:00 PM to 4:00PM 4:00 PM Prayers and closing Adoration Please sign up this weekend for an hour during that night or for one of the other adoration times. Come spend an hour with the Lord Jesus.
