The student s family must be registered and contributing (as evidenced by contribution envelopes) parishioners of St. John Paul II parish. INTERFAITH THANKSGIVING SERVICE The entire community of Bayonne is invited to join in worship at the annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service on Monday, November 19 at 7 pm. This year the service will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 979 Ave C. Light refreshments will be served following the service. Worshippers are asked to bring non-perishable food items for distribution to the needy throughout Bayonne. Tickets will be sold at the Rectory (Mon-Thur. 9am-4pm (Tues. 9am-6pm), (Fri. 9 am-3 pm). 4 Many people would like to have their loved ones remembered at Christmas Midnight Mass. We have a beautiful custom at Mt. Carmel: Open listing of Intentions at Midnight Mass. You have a special envelope in your envelope package for this purpose. Please just write the names of your loved ones on the special green (Christmas Vigil Mass) envelope and they and your personal intentions will be placed at the feet of Baby Jesus in the church Nativity Scene. During the second collection on the weekend, of Nov. 25, you may submit the envelopes. You may also place the envelopes in any collection or mail them to the Parish Office. Thanksgiving Day The church office will be closed on Thursday, and Friday, November 22 & 23 for the Thanksgiving holidays. Mass on Thanksgiving Day will be celebrated at 9:00 AM (English) at Mt Carmel Church. Our Parish's annual Eucharistic Days (40 hours) take place in November The closing ceremony will be Sunday, November 25 at 4:00 PM Main Celebrant The Most Reverend Manuel A. Cruz Vespers and Benediction. There are many hours available for Eucharistic Adoration. In particular, we will have all night Adoration: Friday night from 8:00 PM until Saturday 7:15 AM. Saturday from 9 AM 4:45 PM Please sign up this weekend for an hour during that night or for one of the other adoration times. The Blessed Sacrament will be present 12 Noon to 4:45 PM on Saturday. Come spend an hour with the Lord Jesus.

Per Cristo nostro Signore. Amen. Ti preghiamo, Signore, per tutti i parenti, amici, conoscenti che nel corso di questi anni ci hanno lasciati. Per coloro che in vita hanno avuto fede in te, che in te hanno riposto ogni speranza, che ti hanno amato, ma anche per coloro che di te non hanno capito nulla e che ti hanno cercato in modo sbagliato e ai quali infine ti sei svelato come veramente sei: misericordia e amore senza limiti. Fa' o Signore che veniamo un giorno tutti insieme a fare festa con te in Paradiso. Amen. PREGHIERE per LE ANIME del PURGATORIO Anime sante del Purgatorio, noi ci ricordiamo di voi per alleggerire la vostra purificazione con i nostri suffragi; voi ricordatevi di noi per aiutarci, perché è vero che per voi stesse non potete far nulla, ma per gli altri potete moltissimo. Le vostre preghiere sono molto potenti e giungono presto al trono di Dio. Otteneteci la liberazione da tutte le disgrazie, le miserie, le malattie, le angosce e i travagli. Otteneteci la pace dello spirito, assisteteci in tutte le azioni, soccorreteci prontamente nei nostri bisogni spirituali e temporali, consolateci e difendeteci nei pericoli. Pregate per il Santo Padre, per la glorificazione della Santa Chiesa, per la pace delle nazioni, perché i principi cristiani siano amati e rispettati da tutti i popoli e fate che un giorno possiamo venire con voi nella Pace e nella Gioia del Paradiso. Tre Gloria al Padre, Tre L'eterno riposo. 15 listopada Święty Albert Wielki, biskup i doktor Kościoła Albert urodził się prawdopodobnie między 1193 a 1200 r. w Lauingen w Niemczech. Jego ojciec był rycerzem i pełnił obowiązki naczelnika miasteczka. Dzięki swemu pochodzeniu Albert mógł studiować w Padwie i w Bolonii. W Padwie w 1221 r. spotkał bł. Jordana z Saksonii i z jego rąk otrzymał habit dominikański. Skierowany do konwentu dominikanów w Kolonii, tu zapewne złożył profesję zakonną, ukończył studia teologiczne i otrzymał święcenia kapłańskie. W latach był lektorem w klasztorach: Hildesheim, Fryburgu, w Ratyzbonie i w Strasburgu. Potem udał się do Paryża, gdzie kończył i uzupełniał swoje studia wyższe. Tam też został profesorem - jako pierwszy Niemiec (1245). Tradycja dominikańska przypisuje mu proroczą wypowiedź o Akwinacie: "Nazywamy go niemym wołem, ale on jeszcze przez swoją naukę tak zaryczy, że usłyszy go cały świat". W roku 1254 kapituła prowincjalna wybrała Alberta prowincjałem około 40 klasztorów niemieckich. Św. Albert był jednym z największych umysłów chrześcijańskiego średniowiecza. Przedmiotem jego naukowych zainteresowań były niemal wszystkie dziedziny ówczesnej wiedzy. Nie było dziedziny, której by nie znał, o której by nie pisał, począwszy od wzniosłych prawd teologii i filozofii, poprzez nauki przyrodnicze. Słusznie papież Pius XI nadał mu tytuł doktora uniwersalnego, a potomność od dawna nazywała go Wielkim. Można powiedzieć, że nie byłoby św. Tomasza, gdyby mu nie utorował drogi - na tym właśnie polu - św. Albert. On pierwszy usiłował stworzyć syntezę wszystkich nauk. Sam napisał: "Intencją naszą jest, by wszystkie części (fizykę, matematykę, metafizykę) połączyć w jedną całość, dla łacinników zrozumiałą". Albert znał wszystkich dostępnych wówczas pisarzy: żydowskich, greckich, rzymskich, jak też teologów kościelnych. Jego dzieła wydano aż w 40 tomach. Jednocześnie posiadał umiejętność łączenia wiedzy z dobrocią, dlatego był nazywany "doktorem powszechnym" i "sumą dobroci
