Page Four 4TH GRADE NEWS NOVEMBER 4th grade students love science and will be participating in their first science fair activity during December and January. Students recently completed an inquiry activity studying changes in ecosystems. We planted radish seeds in two cups: one with 10 seeds and another with 80 seeds. Students observed the cups and collected data over three weeks. Radish sprouts need a good supply of water, nutrients from the soil, and sunshine in order to thrive. Guess which radish seed cup did better? Father Stan recently conducted a teaching Mass in church just for 4th graders. We were able to tour the Sacristy, and view the alb, stole and chasubles that father wears for Mass. All students helped with readings, and four 4th graders assisted as altar servers. While saying Mass, Father Stan explained all of the prayers and rituals, and even let students sit close to the altar during the liturgy. Students grew closer to their faith and developed a deeper understanding of the Liturgy of the Word and Liturgy of the Eucharist. Saint William School s 3rd and 4th grade soccer team, the Little Saints, took 2nd place as they wrapped up their fall soccer season. 4th graders had 14 players on the team and are excited to continue playing soccer in the spring. MEDYTACJA AD IEDZIEL Ą EWA GELIĄ 3 iedziela Adwentu Co mamy czynić? 1.
