St. William OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE SOCIETY NEWS To bring the spirit of Our Lady of Guadalupe to the daily lives of the families of St. William parish, together we will participate in monthly prayer meetings; and pray for special needs of the parish. Please join us the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM in the church to offer prayers of thanksgiving and healing. Please bring any family or friends that are in need of special prayer. The prayer service will center on a monthly theme to be announced. The next service will be Monday, March 13. We hope you can join us! FIRST FRIDAY MASS TO HONOR THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS First Friday s have always been devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We continue to honor this tradition. The next First Friday Mass will be: March 4 at 8:15 a.m. Confessions will be heard from 7:30 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will take place immediately following the 8:15 a.m. Mass. We will pray the Litany of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus for new and holy vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life. Jesus Promises to Those Who Keep This Devotion 1. I will give them all the graces necessary. 2. I will establish peace in their families. 3. I will console them in all their troubles. 4. My Sacred Heart will provide a refuge. 5. Z CZEGO SIĘ AWRACAĆ? Za nami już połowa Wielkiego Postu. Środa Popielcowa była trzy tygodnie temu. Za trzy tygodnie przeżywać będziemy Triduum Paschalne. możemy się zastanowić przez moment nad tym, jak nam idą nasze wielkopostne postanowienia Jakże mocno brzmią dzisiaj Chrystusowe słowa:,,jeśli się nie nawrócicie.... Często uspokaja nas zbytnio liczenie na łaskę Bożego miłosierdzia, tak jakbyśmy lekceważyli zło, bo Bóg i tak nam wszystko przebaczy. Dzisiaj ten miłosierny Chrystus zdaje się karcić grzeszników, wzywa do nawrócenia. Wielu w dyskomfort wprawia kazanie w kościele, nawet w czasie rekolekcji na temat grzechu, drogi do konfesjonału, co jest dowodem na to, że nasze życie wymaga przemiany. Sprawa grzechu, nawrócenia i pokuty stały się dla wielu szorstkimi słowami. A przecież lekarzowi musimy wyznać, co nas boli i czekamy na właściwą diagnozę i pomocny lek. Pomimo naszych oporów, zło trzeba nazwać po imieniu. Dzisiaj zdaje się dostrzegać więcej,,świętych niż grzeszników, a przecież człowiek jest słaby, często potrafi się mylić - więc nie lękajmy się spojrzeć prawdzie w oczy. Drzewo figowe, które nie przynosiło owocu kazano wyciąć, aby przynajmniej ziemi nie wyjaławiało! Boża cierpliwość, to pozwolenie na to, aby drzewo rosło jeszcze jeden jedyny rok. Pozostało jeszcze trochę czasu - trzy tygodnie Wielkiego Postu czasu nawrócenia, zrozumienia, uświadomienia sobie, ze nie jesteśmy aniołami, ani aż tak świętymi ludźmi. Jeszcze trwa czas przemiany. Ten krótki czas niech nas przynagla, pomoże odnowić ducha. Serca użyźnione naukami rekolekcyjnymi i łaską Bożą powinny wydać zbawienny owoc naszego życia z Bogiem i z sobą wzajemnie w wierze, nadziei i miłości. Zapraszamy na Rekolekcje Parafialne!
