From the prophetic event of Isaiah to Jesus understanding of the human condition in Hebrews, concluding with Jesus paying our ransom in Mark, God is in control. There may be failings and misunderstandings along the way. We may move away from God, but at our conversion, God leads us back. Like James and John, we may let greed and power blur our vision of what Jesus wants us to know about the Kingdom; but tirelessly we are taught and re-taught what life in the Kingdom will be. Jesus has paid our ransom to ensure that we will share in the Kingdom. It is not unusual to think of Jesus ransom as a punishment that he endured. However, it is more accurate and more like Jesus, for us to recognize ransom as God s gift to us. The second collection this week is for The Propagation of Faith /World Mission Sunday. Next weekend s second collection is designated for Liga Katolicka. SYNOD IN ROME OCTOBER 2015 The Church always acts under the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Above all, pray for your own families, that they may be strengthened in love by the gift of God s spirit. We must reflect personally and in groups people joining together in their parishes praying and discussing the issues that face families today. Through prayer, families will be stronger in love, in God s love, for one another, that God s kingdom come and that God s will be done here on earth as it is in heaven.

Podziwiamy ich zatem z odległości, przez telewizję, gdzieś z odległego tłumy, albo po prostu nie szukamy kontaktu z nimi, bo są zbyt wielcy i niedostępni dla nas maluczkich. Na szczęście istnieją i tacy wielcy, którzy nie tylko, że nie dystansują się od reszty małego świata, ale wręcz budują swoją wartość poprzez bycie dla tych i z tymi, którzy sami wielcy być nie mogą lub nie potrafią. Taką osobistą wielkość nazywamy świętością. Pośród wielu wielkich i wspaniałych ludzi naszych czasów na czoło z pewnością wysuwa się św. Jan Paweł II. O Jego życiowych dokonaniach wszyscy słyszeli. Znany jest na całym świecie. Popularnością przebija wielkie gwiazdy show-biznesu czy popkultury. Można by powiedzieć, że jest nam tak dobrze znany jak nikt inny na świecie. Ale czy na pewno? Czy jesteśmy w stanie zacytować choćby jedno zdanie z Jego wielu przemówień i homilii? Czy potrafimy podać tytuł jednej z książek, które napisał?
