PolSenior The research had been carried out by a consortium of six major bodies An interdisciplinary program designed for the duration of over 3 years, with the aim to collect data for over 40 different research centres in Poland (each one of the six major centres will cooperate with a number of others)
Main objectives of the project: Active participation of specialists in various fields: medicine (geriatricians, GPs, cardiologists, neurologists, nephrologists, psychiatrists, endocrinologists, epidemiologists, rheumatologists etc.), molecular biology, psychology, sociology, economics, demography Collection of data in one base Presenting the conclusions to authorities responsible for the health policy and social policy of the state and to local authorities.
Assortment of samples: Aim: a cross- country representative sample of 5695 respondents within the age brackets of 55 59, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89 and 90 years and more
Questionnaires: Medical interview questionnaire Socio-economic questionnaire (The estimated time for both: 45 minutes each) Questionnaire on frequency of consumption of certain products and foods in different phases of life (Designed to complete by the respondent, or his/her carer, with focus on the menu for 3 consecutive days.) Quality of life questionnaire (WHOQOL-BREF) (To be completed by the respondent only)
