WIND POWER VORTEX ENERGY TRUSTED PARTNER IN RENEWABLE ENERGY Out of love and respect for our natural environment we concentrate our experience and skills where we can sustainably do something beneficial. With much passion and expertise vortex energy forms a network of around 80 competent employees who work closely together to forge ahead with the energy turnaround. We develop and implement projects from 100% renewable energy sources right from the beginning until they go on stream. Since 2004 we have offered our services as a responsible, experienced partner for local authorities, landowners, institutions, investors and plant owners, primarily in the fields of wind energy and photovoltaics. We flexibly deploy our services where they are needed offering customised service components (e.g. consultancy, planning and development, construction and technical and commercial management) or as full-service provider. Our in-house TCM and Electricity Trading Department completes the service portfolio. As a licensed electricity trader we operate on the Polish power exchange and we offer trade balancing for energy sales. Acquisition of partly developed investment by vortex energy, completion up to the stage of readiness for construction, acquisition of financing and comprehensive implementation of construction works. 3 7,75 MW 2015/16 NIEŚWIASTÓW Voivodeship: Wielkopolskie/ Municipality: Kazimierz Biskupi vortex energy purchased the partly developed project, led to the stage of readiness for construction, has obtained a building permit, raised financing and comprehensively implemented. Two of type 2.5/120 are located in the vicinity of the FW Jóźwin wind farm in Kazimierz Biskupi County. The commissioning of the Park took place in December 2015. A third turbine of type 2. 75/110 located in Stefanowo will be erected in the second phase. Drugi etap rozwoju projektu, polega na postawieniu trzeciej turbiny typu 2,75 /110 zlokalizowanej w Stefanowie. Uruchomienie nowej instalacji nastąpi do końca czerwca 2016r. 8 2 GADEGAST State: Saxony-Anhalt/ Municipality, County: Wittenberg With the start of the foundation work for 8 in the district of Gadegast all those involved have reached a special milestone. vortex energy Deutschland GmbH has been developing the project for three years now and has succeeded in selling it to a large German institutional investor. As the general contractor, vortex energy has been performing the construction work in the period April to September 2016. After commissioning, vortex energy also takes charge of the wind farm s technical and commercial management. The with a total height of around 200 metres are being erected in the municipal area of the town of Zahna-Elster. Being in the 3 MW class, the turbines chosen are ideally suited to this wind farm. With this turbine it is possible to supply approximately 2.500 households annually with green electricity. The excellent collaboration between the authorities, subcontractors, owners and vortex energy was characteristic for the successful construction phase. With the commissioning, vortex energy also took on the technical operational management of the turbine in Lauperath. Enercon BURBACH State: North Rhine-Westphalia/ Municipality, County: Siegen-Wittgenstein The Burbach project was double breakthrough for us. On the one hand a new technological step forward was taken with the selection of the type of wind turbine: the wind turbine of the type Fuhrländer FL 2.500/100 with a rotor diameter of 100 m. On the other hand we erected the in the middle of a forest near Burbach in the Siegerland region. Forest areas have to date offered hardly any used potential in Germany. By means of high hub heights it is possible to avoid problems with turbulence. Only a few project developers have experience with construction in a forest, however. The challenges are not negligible: extensive negotiations with owners of forest areas and the forestry authority, creative problem-solving approaches when it comes to transport, new requirements regarding transport routes and not least the adjacent quarry. All this failed to prevent us from successfully erecting two, 2,5 MW each. 8 16 MW 2008/09 EISENACH I+II State: Rhineland-Palatinate/ Municipalities, Counties: Bitburg/Prüm, We were successful in constructing 8 in two stages against the backdrop if an especially challenging situation. After the implementation of the first construction phase for 2 the state government carried out a regional reorganisation. Plots were to be switched without any financial damage for the former owner. Land registers showed two and more owners in each case. The number of contracts needed to extend the project increased several times over. Even so it was possible to find a satisfactory solution both with all parties involved and the two municipalities affected of Eisenach and Welschbillig. For the second construction phase 6 further of the same type were approved. During the initial excavation work, however, a village from Roman times was discovered, and this meant that there were extensive archaeological investigations and excavations, as well as a displacement of the planned turbine. In all six turbines were able to start operating on schedule and have since produced sufficient power to supply more than 10.000 average households with green electricity. We took over Wundersleben from a local firm of engineering consultants and we implemented it for private investors. State: Thüringia/ Municipality, County: Sömmerda Zodel was our debut in many respects: for the first time success in obtaining from authorities a BImSchG approval, the first approach to the market and successful marketing, negotiation with turbine manufacturers, structuring of the financing and finally the successful attempt as general contractor to make a turnkey delivery to the investor. Zodel was not only vortex energy s start in Germany but, given the fact that it is Germany s most easterly wind farm on the Neisse to the north of Görlitz, Poland was already within range on the other side. The farm is connected to the low voltage grid in Ostrowice in the Drawsko district. The project was financed completely by vortex energy Polska Sp. z o.o.
