NOVEMBER 20, 2011 5 WIADOMOŚCI PRO-LIFE PAŹDZIERNIK/LISTOPAD 2011 Żniwo wielkie, ale robotników mało.. W sobotę, 15 października, mszą św. o 8 rano, w kościele St. Patrick Old Cathedral, w Manhattan, rozpoczęła się kolejna, comiesięczna Krucjata w Obronie Życia, diecezji Brooklyn. W homilii, ks. Ph. Reilly, nawiązał do Demonstracji w Wall St. przeciw nadużyciom wielkiej finansjery. Jak to stwierdził, w tej samej mierze, powinni chrześcijanie wypełniać place, miejsca spotkań, rogi ulic w Obronie Prawa Nienarodzonych do Życia! Ale tak, niestety, nie jest! W przypowieści o Nieuczciwym rządcy., Pan Jezus zwrócił Nam uwagę, że bardziej poświęcamy się, angażujemy w zdobywanie dóbr doczesnych, niż niebieskich..! W myśl zasady, że Lepszy wróbel w ręku, niż gołąb na dachu. Te same trendy zdają się przenikać naszą Społeczność Polonijną w Greenpoint, Williamsburg i gdziekolwiek indziej, gdzie wołanie o wzrost szeregów Obrońców Życia odbija się niczym przysłowiowy Groch o ścianę, kilku w mocno podeszłym wieku woluntariuszy, i to już wszystko! Żniwo wielkie, ale robotników mało.! Zatwardziałość liderów polonijnych, którzy przez lata całe wzbraniali się przed udziałem haseł Świętości Życia w Paradzie gen. Puławskiego, a nawet zdobyli się na aresztowanie, gdy z naszymi transparentami staraliśmy się, tak czy inaczej, wziąć udział w tej wielkiej Imprezie! Pewnie nasz Generał, który sam bronił Praw Godności, Wolności Jednostki Ludzkiej, obracał się w grobie z Oburzenia, a Dziś, prowadziłby Obrońców Życia w marszu do Zwycięstwa..! Jaki to smutny fakt, że Wiadomości Pro-Life w Patronie czytuje zaledwie kilkoro osób! Tak niewielu poczuwa się do Odpowiedzialności za Poczęte Życie, Organizowania się, Zasilania szeregów Pro-Life! Przeważają Odpowiedzi: Mamy swoje sprawy na głowie! A swego czasu, próba zorganizowania Marszu o Życie nie powiodła się z braku kandydatów! Ten Niemy Krzyk, pozbawionych Wszelkich Praw Jednostek Ludzkich, prędzej czy później wywoła reperkusje w sumieniach tych, którzy, Dziś, udają, że nie słyszą, odwracają gdzie indziej swą uwagę, Poczucie Winy, z powodu zaniechania Dobra, gdy była okazja ku temu, zepchnięte w głąb podświadomości, zaowocuje, kiedyś, zabierając Pokój, Radość Życia, prowadząc w konsekwencji do różnorakich nałogów i nie tylko! Dziś, gdy Noc Kultury Śmierci zapanowała nad światem, wezwani jesteśmy Wszyscy do działania, dawania Publicznego Świadectwa swych Przekonań, Organizowania się w Ruchu Pro-Life! Zachowawczość, bierność, stawia nas po drugiej stronie barykady, Nieprzyjaciół Życia! Są to słowa wyjęte z jednego z kazań naszego papieża Jana Pawła II, powtarzane podczas kolejnych diecezjalnych Krucjat za Życiem! Wszyscy winniśmy się czuć, Dziś, być żołnierzami Błękitnej Armii Matki Bożej Fatimskiej, powołanej ku Obronie Świętości Życia! Kiedy, Odgórnie, są nam narzucane idee, nakazy, które są sprzeczne z Zasadami Życia Chrześcijańskiego, Godności Ludzkiej, Przykazaniami, jedyną, godną, odpowiedzią jest Oddolny Ruch Sprzeciwu, Obrony Najwyższych Wartości, przez Organizowanie się, przede wszystkim na szczeblu parafii i wyżej, szerzej, dalej, jak rozlewające się morze. On Saturday, October 15, we held our subsequent Brooklyn Diocese Crusade for Life at the 8:00am Mass in St. Patrick s Old Cathedral in Manhattan. In his homily, Fr. Philip Reilly mentioned that maybe it is time for Christians to start their own Occupy Wall Street at a specific location in their fight to protect the Rights of the Unborn Child to live. Unfortunately, this will not come to be!!! In the parable about Dishonest rulers... Jesus brings to our attention that we devote more energy in attaining worldly goods than heavenly ones....! Thinking that it is Better to have one bird in the hand, than two in the bush. The same trends are beginning to penetrate our Polish Communities in Greenpoint, Williamsburg and elsewhere, because our Pro-Life Movement can be described by another saying a drop in the bucket, a few elderly volunteers, and that s it!!! The harvest is rich, but the laborers are few....! The hard line taken by Polonia leadership, who through the years prevented the theme of Sanctity of Life into the General Pulaski Parade, and even threatened with arrest, if we tried, in any way, to participate in this important event..! I am sure that our General, who himself protected the laws of equality, freedom, human rights, is turning in his grave with anger, and if he were here today, he would probably lead the Pro-Life Group in a march to Victory....! What a sad fact, that the Pro-Life News in the Patron is read by only a few people! So few people feel any obligation toward Unborn Life! They give excuses We have our own issues to think about! A planned March for Life had to be cancelled due to lack of interest!! The Silent Cry, for Human Rights, sooner or later will have repercussions on the consciences of those who today pretend not to hear, look the other and take no responsibility. Unfortunately, this lack of ownership will eventually have negative consequences taking away peace of mind, the joy of living and causing other adverse effects. Today, if the Culture of Death overtook the world, we would be called upon to act, to publicly stand by our convictions, and to organize in the Pro-Life Movement!!! Hiding and passiveness puts us on the other side of the baracade, an Enemy of Life!! These words were taken from one of the homilies of our Pope John Paul II, and repeated during many of the Diocesan Crusades for Life!!! Everyone of us should feel responsible and be soldiers in the Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima, called in honor to Protect the Sanctity of Life! From the beginning, people in leadership positions impress upon us ideas which are against the principles of Christian living, human rights, the Commandments, and the only response is Grassroots Movements of Opposition, Defense of the Highest Values by organizing ourselves first at the parish level and then higher, wider, farther, than a sprawling ocean. 6 NOVEMBER 20, 2011 NEWLY REVISED RESPONSES OF THE ROMAN MISSAL As announced by Father Marek at the English Masses last Sunday, our responses at Mass have been revised with the changes going into effect on November 27 of this year. After Vatican Council II, when the Church approved the celebration of Mass in the vernacular for better understanding by the membership, rather than in traditional Latin, the translation into English was done for meaning and not verbatim as was done in all other languages. After many years of work by religious and secular translators, the English Mass responses will now coincide with the Latin original and the other language translations. The Holy Mass, in its entirety, remains the same. No changes have been made to the ritual of the Mass. The following is a comparison between the old and the new responses. Kindly acquaint yourself with these changes. Also, for the convenience of parishioners and guests, newly updated response cards have been placed in the pews. We ask that you not take them home, but leave them in the church for others to use. Priest: The Lord be with you. People: And also with you.
