Student has basic knowledge of construction solutions concerning the elements of buildings designed with use of combined steel-concrete structures. Student consolidates knowledge of designing basic elements of steel constructions in general civil engineering according to the requirements of PN-EN 1993 standards. Abilities Student can use requirements and recommendations of PN-EN 1993-1-1, PN-EN 1993-1-5 and PN-EN 1993-1-8 standards to design or verify load capacity of construction elements in simple constructional forms of buildings. Student knows basic rules for designing combined steel-concrete constructions considering recommendations and requirements of PN-EN 1994-1-1standard.
