Description Number of semesters: 7 Number ECTS necessary to obtain qualifications: 210 Prerequisites (particularly for second-level studies): contest certificates Possibility of continuing studies: 2nd cycle, master program Upon completion of studies graduate obtains professional degree of: inżynier architekt 1st level qualifications Graduate profile, employability The graduates are expected to have the following attributes: A/ Specialist knowledge in: - history and theory of architecture and urban planning, - fine arts, - building engineering and building technology, - structures, - physics of buildings, - architectural and urban planning design, - technical and building regulations, and - methods of organizing and carrying out investments. B/ Intellectual skills and abilities in the following areas: - information gathering, - development of the environment that is suitable to human needs with consideration of the disabled, - creation of simple designs which meet aesthetic, functional and technical requirements. - application of the rules of the building code, - understanding of the principles of economics, investment 1

procedures and designing processes, both within the country and in other European Union states. The graduate will have learned a modern foreign language at least up to B2 level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The graduates are qualified to take up professional employment as as assistant architects, general contractors and supervisors of construction in the field of urban planning and design of architecture and its surroundings. 4.3 Training module Name of training Plein Air Drawing for BK Training crediting mode Code The plein air training is supervised by teachers of the Faculty of Architecture. In order to obtain a credit for the training, 1 1 students must attend the course and submit AUA 002411C a portfolio with their artwork four 50cmx70cm studies and a minimum of 15 sketches (A4 size). Training duration Training objective 1 week Training objective: The objective of the plein air training (plein air drawing and painting) is to prepare a series of art works related to the study of spatial forms and spatial systems in nature in a specific cultural surrounding and to improve the artistic skills of architects. Training contents: a/ topics should cover a diversified scale, form and building material of specific space (architectural forms and details, urban interiors, floral elements and landscape etc.), b/ students may create their artwork using any of the techniques learned in class, c/ the detailed content of the training is defined by the instructor. The student is expected to perform the following tasks: -compile a topographic inventory with the application of various methods and tools, 11

-compile an inventory of a facility and detail, -estimate the value of technical wear of the facility, -prepare the documentation. Training duration Training objective 2 week Training objective: to get acquainted with the scope, character and problems of working in a design studio. The student is expected to learn the following: -functioning and organization of work in the company, studio, team; -the problems and preparation of subsequent stages of technical documentation; -the principles of cooperation with other technical sectors; -problems related to the relationship between the investor, designer and contractor The training should also include a site visit during which an inventory is compiled or the design is compared to its implementation. It is possible to receive a credit for international training if it is carried out in licensed units and is in accordance with the training profile.
