Our Parish School: We are part of an excellent co-sponsored elementary school: All Saints Academy. For information call: 201-443-8384 Religious Education For Children: CCD classes are held every Sunday from September through April at 9:15 am. Classes are conducted in our school building. Confessions: Daily Monday to Saturday following the 7:00 am Mass. Saturday afternoons at 3:30 pm. Sacrament Of The Sick: Sick Calls or other Emergency Calls should be made to the rectory at any time. Arrangements can also be made for regular visitations at home or hospital for Holy Communion and/or Confession. We urge you to keep us aware of parishioners who are ill in the hospital or at home. Marriages: Please make arrangements at least one year in advance. Couples are urged to solemnize their vows at a Nuptial Mass. Baptisms: The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated each month on the First Sunday (in English) and on the Third Sunday (in Polish). A required Baptismal Program for Parents is conducted at 1:00 pm on the second Sunday of the month in Polish and on the last Sunday in English. Novenas: Every Tuesday Evening to Saint Anne following the 7:00 pm Mass. Every Thursday Evening to Divine Mercy following the 7:00 pm Mass. Your Lenten Sacrifice will assist the poor, educate our seminarians and provide needed services for our parishes. Envelopes are found at church entrances and in the pews. Thank You to all who have already responded! Next Saturday evening we set our clocks AHEAD one hour. (Officially this happens at 2:00 AM Sunday morning.) Spring Forward! Our Parish's annual Eucharistic Days (40 hours) take place next weekend. The closing ceremony will be Sunday, March 10: 4:00 PM Vespers and Benediction. There are many hours available for Eucharistic Adoration. In particular, we will have all night Adoration: Friday night from 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM. Please sign up this weekend for an hour during that night or for one of the other adoration times. The Blessed Sacrament will be present all day on Saturday. Come spend an hour with the Lord Jesus. Scholarship Fund for Inner-City Schools This weekend a presenter from the Archdiocesan Inner-City Schools Office will be speaking at all our Masses. This department creates scholarship monies for economically challenged youth to attend our diocesan Catholic Elementary schools. Our own, All Saints Catholic Academy, has many students who receive funds from this appeal. Please take home one of their brochures and consider becoming part of this worthwhile program. Rosary Society Catholic High School Scholarship Each year the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Rosary Society awards a $ 500.00 scholarship to an eighth grade student who is a member of OLMC Parish and will be attending a Catholic High School in September. The award is based on the highest entrance exam score. If interested, please forward your name, telephone number and test scores to the Parish Rectory, Attention: Mary Ann Decha by March 22. The Archdiocese of Newark takes very seriously any and all allegations of sexual misconduct by members of the clergy, religious, and lay staff of the Archdiocese. Individuals who wish to report an allegation of sexual misconduct may do so by calling the Archdiocesan Office of Child and Youth Protection at 201-407-3256.

In 2013 we have begun a new service to our parishioners. The Easter Vigil Mass will no longer have limited intentions. Everyone may list their loved ones for prayer during the Easter Vigil Mass. There is a special envelope in your envelope packets by which you may include your loved ones for remembrance. Please deposit the envelope in any Sunday collection or forward it to the Parish Office. WYZNANIE WIARY - CREDO Biblia proponuje jako wzór człowieka wierzącego postać Abrahama (Hbr 11,4, Rz 4). Św. Paweł nazywa go ojcem wszystkich tych, którzy wierzą (Rz 4,11.18). Księga Rodzaju (Rdz 12 25) opowiada historię Abrahama, który na wezwanie Boga opuścił ziemię ojczystą i rozpoczął wędrówkę do ziemi obiecanej. Zaryzykował, zaufał Bogu. Wyszedł, nie wiedząc, dokąd idzie (Hbr 11,8). Największą próbą jego wiary okazał się moment, kiedy Bóg poprosił Go o złożenie ofiary ze swojego jedynego syna Izaaka. Abraham był gotów uczynić nawet to ze względu na Boga. Historia Abrahama znakomicie ilustruje, czym jest ów skok wiary. Wiara nigdy nie jest biernym przyjmowaniem czegoś do wiadomości. Wiara angażuje całego człowieka, nie tylko jego rozum, ale i wolę, i uczucia. Prawda, którą Bóg objawia, to propozycja pewnej drogi, czyli pewnego kierunku i stylu życia. Kto idzie tą drogą, pozna moc tej prawdy. Bogu nie chodzi o przekazanie nam pewnych suchych informacji (dogmatów, przykazań itd.). Chodzi Mu o nas, o ludzkie szczęście, spełnienie, o ostateczne zbawienie. Objawia się nam po to, aby się zaprzyjaźnić, aby zaprosić nas do miłości. Dlatego właśnie Bóg wzywa człowieka do opuszczenia ziemi rodzinnej, czyli tego wszystkiego, co pewne, bezpieczne, przewidywalne, po ludzku wykonalne, co najczęściej jest iluzją szczęścia. Bóg chce dać człowiekowi coś więcej, coś, co przekracza nawet nasze pragnienia i wyobrażenia. Ziemia obiecana jest symbolem Bożej obietnicy. Bóg zaprasza do pójścia w nieznane: Chodź i zobacz, Zaufaj Mi, a Ja cię poprowadzę, Sprawię, że twoje życie będzie sensowne, dobre, spełnione. Wierzyć oznacza zaufać tej obietnicy nie teoretycznie, ale w konkrecie życia, w codziennych decyzjach, postawach. Wiara na wzór Abrahama staje się drogą życia.
