Additional information / Dodatkowe informacje 1) Introduction The offered complex of new buildings was constructed at the initiative and at the site of Daewoo Motor Polska Sp. z o.o. in Lublin. The new facility was programmed for the production of 50,000 vans a year at the beginning, with the target production of 100,000 vans annually. The new vehicles were to replace the production (in the old facility) of vans Lublin and all terrain vehicles Honker. 2) Specialised collaborating companies Now, when the old production has been discontinued, in the old facilities there are specialist companies with potential to starting collaboration in the production of: - castings, - forgings, - road wheels, - springs, - sheet-metal stamping for vehicle bodies (a production line). In Lublin and vicinity there are other industrial facilities operating in various sectors, including aviation industry helicopter production plant in Świdnik. Collaboration may be undertaken in a broad range and in various fields.
3) Personnel resources, education The industrial traditions in the region and production operations in various sectors have contributed to developing workforce and managers able to take up contemporary tasks. Seven university-level schools in Lublin and the secondary-level education secure the workforce for the future. 4) Transportation and power infrastructure There are direct road and railway connections and an efficient urban transportation system. Not far away an airport is being constructed to be completed in 2011. There are direct connections to the buildings and there are declarations for the supply of: electricity, natural gas, heat, water and discharge of industrial and sanitary sewage. 5) Economic zone A procedure will be commenced to establish an economic zone for the site covered with this offer. 6) Suggestions concerning future production In view of the size of the site (23.0 ha), the parameters of the production buildings (space between pillars 20 x 20 m; working height 10.5 m) and complete utilities, the new facility may be used for the manufacture of complex products and in large quantities. This may include road vehicles, all terrain vehicles or potentially aviation-related production.
