St. William NEW amount needed weekly to cover our budgeted expenses is: $7,000 Budget for Weekly Collection......$7,000 Weekend Collection......$6,392 Under $ ( -608) Please Remember your Parish in your Will! Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ: The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) continues to advance our mission of eradicating poverty in economically-distressed communities. Our Holy Father s most recent address instructs us that, Our efforts must aim at restoring hope, righting wrongs, maintaining commitments, and thus promoting the wellbeing of individuals and of peoples. Pope Francis words resonate deeply with the mission of CCHD. For example, Mujeres Unidas (Women United) of St. Eulalia has created a women-owned catering worker cooperative that has worked for the past three years to provide healthy food options in the Maywood area. The CCHD collection is the primary source of funding for CCHD s anti-poverty grants and education programs in Cook and Lake Counties. Fifty percent of the collection s proceeds stays here in our Archdiocese to fight poverty in our communities, and the other 50 percent goes to funding programs nationwide. The CCHD annual collection is ovember 21-22. Help us defend human dignity and show Christ s love. -Most Reverend Blase J. We sang a few motion songs to them and then played games, did puzzles or read books with them. We have been very busy learning our Super Kids reading program and our new Everyday Math program. We work hard at everything we do and try our best to listen, follow directions and to be a great class. We are very excited being buddies with the Eighth grade class. We have met several times and our buddies have helped us learn different things. They asked us questions about ourselves for a book they are making. They helped us learn about the life cycle of an apple. They also helped us make an apple chain showing how an apple grows. We had a wonderful trip to The Siegel Cottonwood Pumpkin Farm. We spent the day being with our buddies and getting to really know them outside of school as well as learning about pumpkins, hay and straw, and how cotton grows. The first several weeks of school have gone by very quickly and we can t wait to see what we will do and learn the next several weeks. BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION Each Box Top collected and submitted has a value of 10 cents. That might not seem like much, but so far this school year, St. William School has earned over $430. You can send the Box Tops to school or drop them off in the Box Top container sat St. William Church. For a complete list of participating products and information visit, boxtops4education.com. MEDYTACJA AD IEDZIEL Ą EWA GELIĄ 33 iedziela Zwykła W owe dni 1. Stanie się na końcu czasów. Zawsze w listopadzie, na koniec roku liturgicznego, w Liturgii Słowa Bożego słyszymy w kościele serię Ewangelii o końcu świata. Koniec świata to jedna z trzech rzeczy ostatecznych. To dlatego jesteśmy zachęcani do codziennych rachunków sumienia i ustawicznej gotowości. Skłaniać nas to powinno do głębszej refleksji, żeby nas nie zaskoczył dzień Pański. 3. Zachęta do czujności. Ewangelia dzisiejsza to swoiste wezwanie nas do czujności.
