We would like to invite Parishioners, Guests and First Holy Communion Children to participate in this day as we honor the Blessed Body and Blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Pentecost Sunday We celebrate today the Solemnity of Pentecost, the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles. Pentecost is the dramatic coming of the Holy Spirit and the beginning of the public revelation of the Church on earth. Reflecting on today's feast of Pentecost, we commemorate the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Virgin Mary and the gathered Apostles. In a special way, the Acts of the Apostles attests to the action of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Church. The gift of the Holy Spirit provided the disciples with the strength and power to bring the knowledge and love of Jesus to those they evangelized. The Spirit guided them, reminding them of Jesus' teachings and helping them to understand them. Traditionally the Church teaches that there are seven gifts of the Holy Spirit: wisdom, understanding, right judgment, fortitude, knowledge, piety and fear of the Lord. These gifts are qualities imparted to the soul, which make the soul responsive to the movements of grace and give facility in the practice of virtue. Through the gifts of the Holy Spirit we grow in the knowledge of the life and teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. One other very important aspect of Pentecost is the relationship of the Holy Spirit to our Blessed Mother. It is through our Holy Mother, Mary, that the Holy Spirit first makes Jesus physically present. The Holy Spirit came upon her and Jesus became present in her womb. Our Blessed Mother Mary is the model for the way the Holy Spirit works. She said yes to the Holy Spirit and was forever changed by Jesus' presence in her. Let us also ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten our understanding in order to recognize God's Will in our lives and to enable us to act on all occasions with goodness and kindness, charity and joy and fidelity to His Will. Parish Council Elections Very soon we will be voting for the new Parish Council members. We are planning on voting during the weekend of June 4 and 5. Over the next 2 weekends, you will get a chance to meet the candidates. At this time, we would like to say thank you to the Council Members whose term is ending this June. Thank you for 3 years of service to: John Hoholuk, Leszek Janik, Maria Kowalski, and Veronica Schoenheit. Diocesan Mission Sunday - May 21-22 The Church is called to proclaim Jesus Christ, who was crucified, died and is risen: through Him God bestows new life that is divine and eternal. This is the Good News which changes people and history, and which all people have a right to hear. Mission Sunday Collection May 21-22. Help the missions of our Sisters of St. Joseph and Sisters of Mercy! We cannot be content when we consider the millions of our brothers and sisters who don t know Christ and the love of God yet. We cannot but speak! (Acts 4:20) For over fifty years, the Sisters of St. Joseph have labored in Brazil and the Sisters of Mercy in Chile. Next weekend, May 21st and 22nd, we call upon you to help with your prayers and sacrificial gift, so that they may continue to bring Christ into a world where darkness, despair and emptiness prevail. Uroczystość Zesłania Ducha Świętego Czcimy dzisiaj zstąpienie Ducha Świętego na Kościół, na Kościół czasów apostolskich. Zesłanie Ducha Świętego to dzień narodzin Kościoła, dzień jedności wszystkich ochrzszczonych. Duch Święty sprawił że Apostołowie idąc na cały świat głosili jednego Chrystusa, udzielali jednego chrztu, w Imię jednego Chrystusa odpuszczali grzechy. To dzieło trwa w Kościele Chrystusowym aż do dnia dzisiejszego. Niech obejmie nasz rozum i wolę, niech je odnowi, oczyści i wzmocni. Niech nas pobudzi do serdecznego żalu za wszystkie nasze grzechy. Módlmy się aby moc Ducha Świętego odnowiła nasze życie i utwierdziła naszą wiarę, nadzieję i miłość. Uroczystość Bożego Ciała Uroczystość Najświętszego Ciała i Krwi Chrystusa będziemy obchodzić w tym roku w niedzielę 29-go Maja. Każdego roku w procesji z Najświętszym Sakramentem do czterech ołtarzy wyznajemy wiarę w Bóstwo Jezusa Chrystusa. Dzień Seniora W Środę 1-go Czerwca w naszej Parafii będziemy obchodzić Dzień Seniora. Msza Święta w intencji Seniorów odprawiona zostanie w Środę o godzinie 11:00 rano. Po Mszy Świętej będzie serwowany posiłek w audytorium. Organizacją Dnia Seniora zajmuje się Social Concern Committee. Zapraszamy wszystkich Seniorów i Samotnych do miłego spędzenia czasu w gronie przyjaciól i znajomych. Open House at Our Church Our beautiful church will be open to visitors who would like to learn about its artwork, architecture, and history on Sunday, May 22, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Information will be available for self-guided tours, and parish historian Kathy Urbanic and artisan Sandy Bialaszewski will be on hand to answer questions.
