Those who are sick in turn, remember all of us daily in their prayers and in their sufferings. We experience many blessings because of their remembering us. Barry Ave. Our study this time will be the Book of Romans, which outlines the belief of St. Paul. From this book, much of Christian theology was developed. St. Augustine is said to have converted after reading it, and many believers, strengthened in their faith by its words were then able to defend their Christian religion. Far from being dull, it is an active and vital book with many themes. Come join us and grow in your faith and ability to explain why you are a believer. CCD Classes It is the responsibility and duty of the church to provide proper religious education for every child. It is the responsibility and duty of every parent to bring those children. A strong religious education of your children is the best way they can journey toward full knowledge and full participation in the sacramental life of the church, which as Catholic believers we trust in the corner-stone of a fulfilled life in Christ, truly our salvation. Children from last year are already preregistered. The first day of Class/Mass is Sunday, 24th of September, one week after the Liturgical Introduction/Celebration of our teachers on Catechetical Sunday at the 10:30 a.m. Mass in Chapel. (September 17) New families can register in the school from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You can also call the rectory for information through Mrs. Golda or Mr. Kummer. There will be a courtesy evening registration on Tuesday, September 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thanks and God bless you, for allowing us to serve God and your children. Joseph Kummer Director of Religious Education

The Value of Labor Heaven is blessed with perfect rest but the blessing of earth is toil. Henry Van Dyke TRADITION Tradition is long human memory set, not in stone, but in human interaction. Without this active memory, the bonds of relationship and affection fray and fall apart. Communities dissolve as surely as neglected buildings do. After participating in events, celebrations, and even small rituals, we remark about how good it is to gather and remember. Today s readings remind us of foundations laid deeper than the human will to relate. Today we hear about God s will to relate to us to be our God as we are called to be God s own beloved people. Today in three readings and three ways we remember the covenant bonds that create us as a people and the obligation and responsibility that express the innermost attitude of soul. You are mine. I am yours. These are God s words that created a people as surely as Let there be light created the sun and moon and all the stars. Copyright, J. S. Paluch Co.
